Yes At 8 he can get a case for it and if he gets signatures. Mount it in his room Wilson makes different kinds Like GST series junior size that will get him to modified 7th grade. Around $80 The DUKE is a 13 plus ball. Always should have one no matter what!!

Can’t say but it’s perfect size your my grandkids ages 8 and 10. The play with it much more than the larger balls! Hope this helps.

I can't answer why it is made in China...except isn't just about everything... I can say this is not the official 100th anniversary gold football. Those were much more expensive & completely sold out everywhere we looked. The official 100th anniversary gold football had a smooth surface... this one has a football typical skin. But my young person that had his heart set on possessing the official 100th anniversary gold football the instant he saw it (but unfortunately didn't get one at the time he saw it & it was not an option to be found after that) is thrilled with this football & is the envy of all his friends.
