Size:14x36x1 The AFB Bronze filter by FilterBuy is a step up from a standard fiberglass filter. It is designed for everyday home use and removes dust mites and debris from the air. Whenever you are choosing an air filter, make sure that you compare the nominal and actual size of the furnace filter that you are replacing. In this case, the ‘nominal’ size of the filter is 14x36x1 while the ‘actual’ size of the filter is 13.5 x 35.5. Generally, the nominal size is rounded and in bigger print while the actual size is in smaller print and in parenthesis to the side. The AFB Bronze filter is designed to last 3 months, or 3 times the average fiberglass filter. Each quantity purchased is for a pack of 4 filters. Note that AFB filters come in AFB Bronze (Merv 6), AFB Silver (Merv 8), AFB Gold (Merv 11), and AFB Platinum (Merv 13). The most commonly used filter for home or business use is the AFB Silver (Merv 8). If you have pets or allergies we recommend the AFB Gold (Merv 11). False advertising
We ordered MERV 6 and received MERV 8 filters. I messaged the buyer, I did receive a quick response which I appreciated, however, I was informed that they have manufactured MERV 6 filters for a while now and that they should not cause any problems to my unit. I am very upset, if they have not been manufacturing MERV 6 filters, then why are they still being advertised and are still an option to purchase? If I would have known that, I would not have purchased them.

The sweet spot in pleated A/C filters, well made
These are about the perfect balance. Fiberglass filters are flimsy, and especially in a large size like this, get sucked into the plenum because there's not enough supporting the center. Second, they don't filter much dust until they're almost full. Lastly, 20x30x1 is hard to even find in fiberglass, probably for the first reason.These AFB Bronze Pleated filters are excellent, because they're sturdy and give a good degree of filtering, but because they're MERV 6, rather than some of the really high ratings that Pleated filters can reach, they aren't so densely woven that they put excessive strain on the fan and compressor.

MERV 8 is the new MERV 6!
So I’ve ordered these filters a few times before - always AFB Bronze MERV 6 Pleated. This time I received MERV 8. Yes, I realize that MERV 8 filters smaller particles than MERV 6 - but just wondering why you can order MERV 6 if they seem to ship MERV 8 or better. Others buyers have experienced the same.

Fine. No serious complaints.
These are sturdy filters and they seem to be working fine. They fit the 25x32 hole just fine. But let's be very clear here - these are NOT a single 25x32 filter. The are more like a 25x20 and a 25x12 filter glued (and taped) together very securely to make a larger unit. Now they work fine, but that was exactly what I was doing myself before. I only bought these because I though my solution was a little hinky at best. These are very WELL glued/taped together, but they are not a single large element - and they cost more than the pair of 25x16 filters that I used to buy and tape together myself. (plus, they are harder to carry up to the roof and squeeze into the air handler doors, honestly). I think I'll stick with my own home brew solution in future. But no serious complaints. Work fine. Well made.

Clean Air All Year LOng
So happy with my four pack of air filters. They arrived just in time for the heating/ac service person to install the first. The others will lie in wait. Don't you love buying products made in the USA? I do and you will be, too, if you select these.

Just as good
ACThis works comparatively as well as all filters cost twice as much! Airflow is important and billet he to deal with the Florida humidity. Filters and yet allows air to flow freely which increases the air flow of air conditioning system.

I like this product because it is well made and does the job as intended.
I like this product because it is well made and does the job as intended. Also it is made about 1/8 of an inch smaller on each side and inserts into the metal frame without having to force fit it. One drawback is that I am using some of them in return air intakes inside the house - they are just loose enough to noticeably "click" when the fan starts up & shuts down. I added a small cardboard insert to take up the slack and eliminated the "click." I will be buying more soon. If you would please add the size 12x12x1 MERV 6 to your size options I would add the fifth star!!! :)
