Holds very steady and easy to aim. Very well constructed, great for machinery

I got this mount to position a laser on my portable sawmill. At first I was really impressed and this seemed like the perfect mount to allow the multi axis positioning I need. However, after going to great lengths to get it installed just right, one of the machined aluminum tightening knobs broke off. They have a 5mm hex hole in addition to the thumb ridges on the knob, so you can put a hex wrench in there to get it snug beyond finger tension. When I did this, the beautiful proprietary bolt sheared off completely. It would make a lot more sense to have these made out of stainless steel than aluminum. Now I have a broken off bolt inside and I need to be using this as we speak. Pretty disappointed and hoping that the seller might be able to make it right. Overall the build quality of this seems very nice, but those knobs just aren’t durable enough to be tightened with an allen key. If the seller responds with replacement to save me the hassle of having to drill out the sheared off bolt, I’ll gladly amend this review.
