Saphir Medaille d’Or Dubbin Graisse Conditioner-Leather Polish for Shoes & Boots

If you do physical work for a living and care for your feet with expensive boots, this is wonderful waterproofing also outstanding for field shoes, hiking camping, etc. an exceptional product. A little bit of the product goes a long way, so value for money is there also.

Fantastic product. Avel makes the absolute best (not exaggerating) leather care products. I was looking to weather-proof the leather soles on my new AE leather boots for winter and protect them more from the salt brine on the street more than anything. I've had Saphir Renovateur - which I loved and ran out of, but I was looking for something with a little more protection. I tried using lexol (about six times) but when they dried they looked the same and dried out. Everyone said to get snowseal and other products like it, but I really didn't want to apply wax to the soles making them slippery or trap the moisture in. So, it was between Dubbin, Sole Guard, or Saphir Pure Mink, and went with Saphir's Dubbin. I'm very happy with the results as I only need a really small amount and it immediately soaked into the leather and when they dried I could tell they were going to repel water and still remain breathable. After a couple days of wet weather, they're still protected. I haven't tried it on the vamp yet, but I imagine it would darken the leather and give it a matte appearance which would be fine. I wouldn't use this product on dress shoes except for the soles or if they were extremely dried out, otherwise it would leave too much of a matte appearance and darken them too much. For weather protection, deeply nourishing leather, and a product that lasts a long time - Saphir Dubbin is the best, hands-down.

This is a great product... apply .., then let it sit for a day... waterproof s and gives the shoe a wonderful sheen without messy deposits.

Product received looked like the can got run over by a truck and dragged down the street. Will be returning.

It’s fine for what it is

This is my go to for conditioning leather. It’s heavy but so many things require the extra this gives. I use it on shoes and bags. Nothing that’s a light leather or lamb skin. Will buy again and again.

Needed wax after a thorough cleaning and depolishing and before the cream polish.

Great for rough leather to keep it treated. I have rough out suede boots (distressed suede) and this product brings them back to looking new every time!
