New Wave Enviro Tinted Stainless Steel Water Bottle (0.6-Liter)

So we bought a couple of these when the company first came out and started making this product. We still have the original two they're just dinged up really bad. The top on the most recent one that I bought is molded the same way but it doesn't seem to be as sturdy? It opens too far and so it doesn't work the way that it should because it lets in too much air won't holes don't line up between the black part and the clear part so I have to be very careful when opening it and closing it. The problem I had with the original that I had bought was that the o-ring that seals the top spigot to the body base that screws into the canister kept falling up every time I would open it it would get stuck. So I am going to assume that this time around even though the washers look different but it's the same issue or a similar issue. It may also be an improper fit for the two parts. Other than that I really like these bottles and I will continue buying them

I've had a old plastic New Weve Enviro plastic bottle that the drink/sipping spout that you push down to open close was leaking after many years of working reliably (using over many years had worn the seal down). So I bought this new water bottle for a trip to Hawaii and was very disappointed with the fit of the spout. We had a small leak when the bottle is turned upside down. I haven't had time to deal with contacting vendor for a replacement yet, but was very disappointed since our old bottle worked great for many, many years. Vendor may have a tolerance issue to look into in the fit of the plastic drink/sipping spout into the screw on lid. The metal part is good and sturdy, but I was disappointed with small leak from spout. Old bottle was great this one not so great....

I am posting this review only because I believe many of the reviews on here are from competing companies.I have now purchased 4 of these water bottles. The first one I bought I used for over a year with constant daily use. The paint on the bottom did begin to wear off after months of use but nearly none of the paint chipped even as far as an inch up the bottle. The caps on these bottles are amazing. They are convenient, easy to clean and are a true joy to drink from. The only thing I have found that makes them leak is dropping them a lot and a toddler throwing them. If you are careful not to drop it it is completely leak proof. I read a review that said it gives the water a metallic taste - I have never experienced this, and neither has my husband or daughter who also use them daily. I have also used the Klean Kanteen brand bottles and the quality in the actual bottle is undoubtedly equal. The only thing I don't like about Klean Kanteen is their caps, which seem to get dirtier and you actually have to either touch or bite the cap to open it. New Wave Enviro has a little tab on the caps to pull so you don't have to bite or touch the part you actually put your mouth on. It would be well worth it to give these water bottles a try. I think it is reasonable to expect a water bottle to last a year with constant use, especially one that is as great a price as this one.

I've had this waterbottle for two years and have loved it. I'm a clumsy person and have dropped it on many occasions. My two previous stainless steel waterbottles would dent so majorly and easily that I couldn't use them anymore. This one had withstood the many times I had dropped it... Finally, I managed to drop it from high enough that it got a big enough dent that I figured I should get a new one. It was still fully functional...no holes, no leaking...just figured for aesthetics a new one would be nice. I love that it is sturdy. The plain silver has no paint, so no complaints of chipping. The mouth is nice and wide, but I usually use the spout, which I love. And it has a loop if you want to hook it to a bag. I know there are lots of brands to choose from and lots of price ranges, but as long as this bottle is of this quality, I will continue to purchase and promote it...although hopefully I'll not be so clumsy in the future.

I bought this specifically because it says "Fits most cup holders and bike cages". Bike cages are a standard size and they have been for many decades. The only exception is a specialty cage like the Klean Kanteen cage (bad product, poor design, don't do that one either) which is specifically designed for a specific bottle.This picture of this bottle, combined with the "Fits most cup holders and bike cages" and small 0.6 liter size makes it appear it will fit properly in a bicycle cage. In reality it is nearly identical to the Klean Kanteen bottles in how it doesn't fit quite right and will only lead to problems. Sadly, it's not quite an exact replica so the tops are not interchangeable.DO NOT BUY FOR USE WITH BICYCLES!!

This item did not contain the needed plastic straw to allow it to be used for drinking. So is pretty useless. But, since I bought it to replace the top to another water bottle from the same manufacturer, I am not returning it. But, if you buy one of these, make sure it has the straw in the package.

I've used these bottles for at least five years. My favorite thing is that the spout is recessed into the top when closed; this keeps it as much as possible from being exposed to germs. Plus, you can clean the drinking spout by inserting a Q-tip. No metallic taste. Mine frequently get dropped and if it hits the floor just right, the spout will break. You can buy replacement tops for $2 by googling "New Wave Enviro Flip and Sip Replacement Tops."

Unfortunately I had to send both bottles back. One was missing the spout and the other was very scratched up. I usually buy these in the store and really like them but couldn’t find any.

There was no straw included in the package and ordinary straws do not fit.

I've used this water bottle for a few years now for my 8-year-old. Its held up well and I've re-purchased.

Not the greatest bottle. The spout did not flow well, always had to unscrew to lid to drink.
