LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Colour Correcting Powder Foundation (Light) Buildable Light to Medium Coverage Baked Foundation, Demi-Matte Finish

Love it, Love it. Love it I tried all three of the baked foundations and for me this is my favourite and perfect for a daytime look. It is super quick and easy to apply (so long as you have the right tools - ie the retractable beauty brush) and mess free!. It's just the right finish fot me and has a nice luminosity which is enough to give a nice dewey look without being too shiny. I am very fair skinned so could have probably got away with either the fair or porcelain shade but went with porcelain (the lightest shade) for it's pink tones as my skin can tend to look a bit sallow sometimes. It has a real brightening effect which brings the skin to life, it doesn't look or feel heavy or like you are wearing heavy make up or look 'mask like' or cakey as some liquid foundation can. It's a lovely natural finish which is just enough to even skin tone and bring your face to life. Some reviewers have commented they found it a bit pricey but one thing to remember is that one of these will easily last for months of end and you would probably have had to buy at least 4 bottles of liquid foundation before this needed replacing. Others have said they feel this doesn't give enough coverage. Although this is buildable it is designed to give a natural light to medium coverage. If you want a fuller coverage I would recommend using the double take foundation with either this or balance and glow on top. When I apply this (or any of the baked foundations) I always put a little face oil first ( due to my skin being probt yo dryness) and let it sir a few minutes before applying the foundation. I feel like the oil helps it adhere my skin. I also find a make up fixing mist helps set it in place. Before this I tried the balance and glow but found it too shiny to use on its own, although it does work extremely well on top of the double take full coverage foundation when I want more of a full make up look - such as on a night out.

I’ve been using the Light to Medium shade and it matches my skin tone really nicely. The powder feels very soft and lightweight on the skin, and it blends easily without looking heavy or cakey. It gives my complexion a healthy, slightly glowy look which I really like for everyday wear. It’s not a full coverage foundation, so it won’t completely hide pigmentation or darker spots. If you need more coverage you may still want to use concealer or another foundation underneath. However, for a natural look it works very well and evens out the skin tone nicely. I like that it can be used on its own for a quick, natural finish, or over liquid foundation to set makeup. Overall it’s a lovely product if you prefer a light, natural look rather than heavy coverage.

As a lady of mature age I have had to change my foundation over recent years and I’ve tried a few and nothing compares to Laura Geller! This powder is a great foundation for daytime and evenings out, and the mini versions for touch ups when your on the go ! I have all of these 3 powders in 3 different shades for different times of the year and I just wouldn’t be without them now. I just love how light this powder feels on your skin even if you layer it on, you barely feel it - unlike heavy liquids or mousses and creams - and you can give yourself a bit more coverage when you need it! The fact that it’s baked is fantastic too so it works in tandem with the LG blushes and bronzers in perfect harmony I’m just addicted to the whole range now.

I have used this foundation for over 10 years (from other sellers and now Amazon) and I love the medium coverage and how easy it is to top up if needed. It’s lightweight and doesn’t look like I’m caking makeup on. HOWEVER the colour has changed. I have always been ‘fair’ and it has been perfect, but the last two compacts have been very orange/yellow and I’ve tried the next step down - ‘porcelain’ - but it’s incredibly pale by comparison. After being a very loyal customer, I’m back to square one and now have to find something new. I’m really dissapointed.

I have no idea how this is rated so low! I suspect people are using it wrong. I bought it to cover rosacea and I will say on its own it doesn't do much, but use it with a cc cream (I've been using a cheap green lakerain one) use this to set and you get such a flawless natural base. Add some setting spray it lasts & doesn't look or feel like you are wearing makeup.

Love this product! As a lady in her mid 50s, this gives such a natural, lasting look and so easy to apply. You just can’t go wrong! I switch between two shades depending on whether it’s summer or winter to match the rest of my skin tone.

As a mature woman, I was looking for a foundation that would not settle in lines and would give a smooth and non caked appearance. This fills the bill. It gives light yet full coverage and smooths out the skin. It helps to buy the primer - goes on better and improves the appearance. I have become a loyal user.
