I wish I didn’t LOVE this serum as much as I do!!! Makes anyone look like they have “GOOD GENES”!
OMG, I wish I could afford to bathe in Good Genes! It's one of the very few products I've elevated to my "holy grail" list- formulas that actually deliver results and worth their weight in gold.I initially thought Good Genes was ridiculously overpriced for what appeared to be a fairly basic formula: purified lactic acid combined with a handful of skin-brightening botanicals. There's nothing particularly cutting-edge about the ingredients themselves. Lactic acid, lemongrass, aloe, arnica, and licorice have been used in beauty products for centuries. Even Cleopatra reportedly bathed in sour milk as low-tech lactic acid body peel!Good Genes was in my cart for weeks before I finally decided to bite the proverbial skincare bullet and order it. Honestly, I almost wish I hadn't…because I absolutely love it.If SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic has taught me anything, it's that creating a truly exceptional skincare product is about much more than the ingredient list. Percentages, concentrations, formulation, and delivery all matter. While Good Genes seems basic, it outperforms every other leave-on lactic acid treatment I've tried. The results speak for themselves, and that high price is easier to justify.I'm in my mid-40s and had great skin until I turned 40. Seemingly overnight, a lifetime of questionable decisions appeared etched across my face every time I looked in the mirror. Good Genes restored a youthful glow to my very dry, dull, and probably perimenopausal skin almost IMMEDIATELY.That's one of the things I love most about it- you get that instant gratification each time you apply it. Your skin looks brighter, smoother, and more radiant right away, while continued use helps soften fine lines and improve overall texture. My skin is noticeably more even, the fine lines around my eyes are smoother, and even my stubborn "1” wrinkle looks much softer. If you're over 40, haven't yet discovered the magic of lactic acid, and don't want to deal with peels, I highly recommend giving Good Genes a try. It's an easy-to-use, no-rinse treatment that fits seamlessly into almost any skincare routine, whether you're a minimalist or a skincare enthusiast with a 20 step routine. One pump is enough for my entire face, while two pumps cover my face, neck, upper chest, and hands. It layers beautifully under makeup, but also pairs nicely with retinol or other serums at night. I personally prefer using it in the morning, followed by moisturizer and sunscreen. It never pills and plays nicely with every product I've paired it with.My only real complaint is the price. If you can, wait for a sale and stock up. I certainly will.I really hate how much I love this stuff.

Gentle magic radiance in a few drops, GENIUS
I love Good Genes by Sunday Riley! It’s very smooth and combines several actives in one product so it multi-tasks as a gentle exfoliant with lactic acid while also minimizing dark spots with licorice. This serum is also moisturizing, so I most often put on a Hyaluronic acid based serum, let that sink in, then follow with this, followed by a chemical sunscreen then follow that with a physical sunscreen on top.I’ll go through phases where instead of using this in the morning, I’ll apply it at night before layering it with an anti-aging moisturizer. This is very smoothing without making my skin react in any way whatsoever, just a gentle whisking away of dead skin cells that you barely notice because you’re not scrubbing it off or using a harsh toner, so it just washes away gradually with your cleanser!Totally recommend this, especially if you have sensitive skin and breakout when you use physical scrub exfoliants.Note: I did NOT get this from Vine, I ordered it. Though it may have a tag on my review, apparently Amazon is all or nothing. As a member of Vine, even things we buy independent of the program are tagged with the disclaimer, which sort of stinks for these truly authentic reviews on purchases!

Good product!
My wife likes this product....it gives her face a plumper look and softer skin but a little pricey.

The one, the only...
Once upon a time, I thought this stuff was crazy expensive... Then I tried it and TOTALLY GOT IT! Super effective yet gentle, very moisturizing, and smells ah-mazing! Also-no, just because another serum has lactic doesn't mean it's "basically the same thing as Good Genes" because it's just not. I will always have a bottle of this serum to hand.

Glowing skin overnight
I’ve tried a lot of exfoliating serums, and this one actually lives up to the hype. It makes my skin look smoother, brighter, and more glowy by the next morning without feeling overly harsh. The texture is lightweight and layers well with the rest of my skincare. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts awhile. The only downside is the price, but honestly it’s one of the few products I consistently notice a difference with.

After a long career trying out every beauty serum, this is one of my must-haves
I don't generally consider myself to be a superstitious person, and yet I have bought this (let's be honest:) absurdly expensive exfoliating serum more than a dozen times over the past several years. There's just something about it that makes me feel—nay believe—that a big part of my having much clearer, better-textured skin than I did ten years ago is at least to some extent attributable to this serum.First of all, this just feels very, very good to use. The product is neither heavy/greasy, nor is it overly thin or watery - you can almost feel it sinking into your skin as you apply it. Unlike many chemical exfoliants (glycolic acids have generally been my go-tos), I've never experienced any stinging or even temporary redness after applying this—even in mid-winter, when my face is otherwise dull, flaky, and mercurial. Instead, from time to time I'll feel a not at all unpleasant gentle tingling that ebbs away in seconds. Finally, it has an almost imperceptible pleasant, wholly natural-seeming scent. All in all, as a chronic skincare overspender, I very much believe that this product, moreso than any other I've tried in my endless quest to find the holy grail of facial maintenance, has been *extremely* thoughtfully formulated. For me, the only downside is how almost insultingly expensive this product is; however, it is a beauty serum, not a bottle of ketchup, so hate the game, not the player. Plus, if you use a single pump each day (which is absolutely adequate), a bottle will last long enough to give you time to get over your consternation over how much it cost. Of course, then there's the fresh dismay over how much you'll have to shell out for another bottle...

Five stars!
I’m in love with Sunday Riley’s Good Genes. From the first use, it was like magic—my pores were clear overnight. If you overuse it, it can cause a bit of dryness, but I use it 2-3 times a week because I have oily skin—and it’s marvelous. I haven’t found another product with similar results. I’ve tried many Elemis products, which are top quality but too gentle for me. Personally, I want strong, fast results, and those ultra-gentle products do nothing for me. Good Genes is magnificent—worth every penny. I tried a mini version in a set and ended up buying the full-size. I finished it and want more—it’s irreplaceable. Five stars!

Clears skin, evens skin tone, smoothed fine lines
Expensive, but so addictive. Pop one pump on after cleansing, before bed and leave on overnight. Since starting this a couple of months ago, my skin has noticeably improved in texture, evenness of skin tone, reduction in age spots and fine lines, and my skin is also firmer. Make sure you buy the lactic acid and not the glycolic acid. This is a stand out/cult product for a reason. Hard to find in the Uk, so I was amazed when Amazon sticker it. Get the smaller version if you’re trying for the first time, but I’m my option, it’s worth every penny.

Dissappointed in the amount of actual product. Not worth it for the price.
I like this product but I made the mistake of not checking the amount. This bottle is only 15 ml. I should have checked Sephora, where it's 40% cheaper. Not sure why it's so expensive here.
