They do work well. I'm keeping some in my car and in my home.I tested one starting at 4.30pm on Thursday, and it stayed at its maximum glow for about 12 hours. The max glow is very good. After that, it incrementally and slowly started to lose its strength of glow, but still stayed the course. It's now Saturday at 2pm, and it has reached a very dim glow. I anticipate it to fully expire in about 1 hour.My only "complaint" is it takes a suprising amount of force to snap the stick to start the glow. On the flip side, this speaks to its robust quality. There is no chance of you accidentally snapping them in a bag during transportation. I am giving 5 stars for quality, but i don't know the benchmark for force of snap in other brands. I wasn't sure what to expect, but i am happy with them.They each have an attached thin, elastic string approx 14-15 inches long when you knot the very ends to make it like a necklace. You can wear it around your neck, or hang it up off something, etc. The stick itself is a approx 6 inches long, is thick plastic, and filled with a liquid. I don't know how easy it would be to open the end to empty the liquid, so i wouldn't allow kids to mess with it, or a dog/cat to accidentally chew on it.

I bought these for general emergencies & hunting.I liked that they were individually wrapped. Very strong when you activate them - which is important when you are carrying them around in a hunt pack. I tested one starting yesterday at 6am. Initially of course, it was very bright and luminous. Put it in a jacket pocket. This morning I pulled it out (24 hours later) and it still had a faint glow in pitch dark conditions (see closet photo). While I do not expect any glow stick to last usefully beyond 12 hours, if you were in the woods in pitch black, you would still be able to see it if it was hanging from a tree. So from an emergency standpoint, I think that these will be very useful. Using them for illumination purposes, they will do well. Then as a marker in an emergency situation when lighting is nonexistent, they will still work, especially if you were using night vision.

These glow sticks are very bright, and last a long time.The brightness is the highest right after they are cracked, but they remain decently bright for about 12 hours, and some are still are visible at night 24 hours later.There is a bit of variability fron one stick to the next, but even the worse case sticks I've seen easily meet my expectations.These were purchased at the same time as some cyalume sticks. These generic glowsticks were easily the higher quality product, and at a third the price.I use these with my dogs for walking at dusk/night, and they work excellently as markers when attached to their collars. My children so love them.

I was pleasantly surprised at how long these light sticks produce usable light. While their light intensity drops (appreciably) after the first couple of hours, they do emit enough light to be quite useful during power outages. You can expect about 8 hours of decent light output and the 3 that I tested were still emitting (fairly weak) light for close to 14 hours total. I mean you won’t be reading books by them after the first few hours, you can use them (at the very least) to illuminate doors at the end of a long hallway and attach them to important items for locating them quickly. Of the number of light sticks I’ve ordered lately, these get my 4 star rating because they are the best ones I’ve come across at a fair price. 5 star rated ones have to reach (or exceed) my expectations which are very strict for this type of product.

VERY bright (not blinding) but enough to see clearly in an emergency situation or if you just dont have a flashlight. multiple use cases for this due to its versatility, check your oil at night, etc. definitely worth keeping as a backup. Lasts a long time and easy to use

I would like to say this is my first review i have felt the need to write. I have used glow sticks/chem lights for years. when i first cracked one of these i was shocked at the brightness for a green glow stick. A better well known brand i have used in the past that is fine for what its is but, has nothing on this product.I would like to give my approval of the presentation and packaging being for me something that shows attention to detail and i was not disappointed. I thank you the seller of this product as it will serve me well and HIGHLY recommend any one else looking for a coast effective yet affordable product compared to another well known brand starting with a C to give them a try and will be stocking up on more in the weeks to come.Thank you again 😊
