My projects seem to always cut through onto the mat instead of just cutting the vinyl like it is supposed to. Any one else have this issue?

I have found that these mats hold up very well even when I’m cutting at a heavy setting. Are you sure that you’re conducting a “test” cut before cutting the larger project? That will ensure that you are using the correct cut settings for the type of vinyl you are using.

Can these work with a cameo 4?

I don't Know. I don't have a cameo 4, I have the cameo three and they work for me.

Can these mats be used with a Cameo 4?

I have a Cameo 3 - - - they work perfectly. Can't answer for a Cameo 4 - but I would think so since they are for a silhouette in general.

is the mat clear with black grid markings?

yes. but you can also use the circuit mat also
