Micro Life

This is a very good quality art book for a curious toddler, with explanations sprinkled here and there. The book features super-high magnification photos (digitally colored) of a micro-life like insects, bacteria, tissues, and so on...

Not full of beautiful artful images like the cover, all more a scientific journey through magnification at much more minute levels, like close up of a flea, cells, bacteria etc, so less joyous but very fascinating, lots of pics on every page and full of snappy brilliant facts so an easy read and very dippable! Basically an encyclopedia of life at high magnification, not what I was dreaming of from the cover but I do love it!

What can I say. This is a beautiful book. So I testing Large size and fab photos . I purchased it as a gift but was very tempted to keep it myself. Definitely buy it fab value .

I bought this book as an extra and my husband is fascinated by it. Everyday he sits down and reads it for an hour. It is so detailed. Wonderful images.

I really like DK books for their excellent content and high quality photography and illustrations. As a fan of macro and micro photography I really enjoyed the images in this book. I can highly recommend this book. This is another great book added to my DK collection.

This is a beautiful book. I bought one for each of two elderly friends but unfortunately I have had to return them as the book is very heavy, too heavy for my friends to cope with.

Gran libro, realizzato con estrema cura, sia didattica sia editoriale. Ovviamente gli argomenti trattati sfiorano appena il mondo delle forme minime ma forniscono tutte le informazioni di base a coloro che intendono approfondire. Splendide le immagini realizzate con il microscopio elettronico a scansione, meno alcune di quelle ottenute con il microscopio ottico, spesso di dimensioni troppo ridotte.

I only took a short look through it. The book i received was in awful condition, so I returned it. I'll buy it soon again since the book itself is great.

The DK Smithsonian books are truly amazing. So chock full of beautiful pictures, thoughtful design and great explanations from people who study these things. My kids love them!
