Syntech USB-C to USB 3.0 Hub, 4-Port with USB-A Adapter for MacBook & iPad

As a person whose computer has only USB-C ports, and owns a lot of USB-A storage devices, I sometimes need to be able to plug in multiple devices. I've had the best results with the Syntech hub, which has four USB-A ports that can be plugged into a single USB-C port. And if you have a USB-A port on your computer or other devices, it comes with an adaptor that allows it to plug in to that. I've had good overall experiences with Syntech - I've bought multiple hubs and adaptors from them, and each one has been satisfactory and long-lasting. If you're wondering why I've bought more than one, it's because I keep losing them. Problems? Occasionally a flash drive plugged into one of the ports won't show up. Just take it out, blow some compressed air on the drive and ports, and try plugging it in again. If that doesn't work, try another port.

I have a computer with USB-C but lots of devices with non USB-C connections and lots cables with USB-A ends. I needed a solution to connect those devices to my computer and found the USB four port hub. The device was not as heavy as I expected and the bulk of it is a hollow piece of plastic. The advantage to that is that it won't get misplaced but the disadvantage is it almost feels cheap and it will take up bulk when I travel. The hub works well but I've not yet tested large data transfers yet to see if it holds up to the capacity of my devices ports and capability. The description didn't specify that a female USB-C to Male USB-A adapter was included but the product picture showed it. I'm pleased to say that it did come.with that adapter which would have almost cost as much as the hub itself did from many sellers. I may actually end up using the adapter more than the hub. Overall, I think a good purchase and look forward to using this more in the days ahead.

I'm leary about buying USB hubs because sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Or some ports may work and others don't. I haven't bought enough of them to know what brands are good but so far this one is doing great and everything works. It's very lightweight too which is good. It suits my multiple USB needs. This one only has 4 ports I think but thats all I need at the moment. If you need more ports then get something different. I run Linux and it works fine on my system. No drivers or software to install. It's plug and play. Pretty sure it's plug and play with Windows and Mac too. I can't remember how much this hub costed but it wasn't much. Under $20 I think. Not bad for a decent USB hub. If all you need is 4 ports then this will work well for you.

This USB hub is built well and allows me to connect all of my “old” usb devices to my new computer. I can connect many devices at once and there is no lag or delay with my mouse or keyboard. Excellent choice of product for your connectivity needs.

I was running out of USB ports on my PC, and bought this to use as a hub. The USB-C to USB-A adapter is only 2.0, but this is specified in product information. I am using it with that adapter, and put some USB2.0 devices on it, such as my bluetooth dongle, keyboard, and mouse. It is working great. The build quality is excellent, as I have come to expect from Syntech. I also have a few of their other products and have never ran into any problems at all. The one thing I would note, and I wish I did not already discard the box, so I could take a picture to show you: When you get your hub, and open the box, the actual hub will slide right out, but you may be left wondering "where is the adapter?" You have to pull out the cardboard inlet of the packaging, and it will be tucked onto the back of that.

One of the ports won’t accept a USB plug. The other 4 are fine. I’m not happy about it but I also don’t need all the connections, so I’m not going to quibble. Decent but definitely not perfect.
