In Real Time: Authentic Young Adult Ministry as It Happens Paperback – April 1, 2009

This book was excellent. I bought it on my Kindle thinking it would help give me some thoughts as I consider an opportunity as a young adults minister, but it did far exceeded my expectations.This book could easily be re-titled "Reaching the Postmodern Generation." The author uses real life experiences from years in a thriving young adult ministry in Nashville to illustrate principles needed for the same type of ministry, while remaining flexible as to how that could be implemented. He deals with subjects like: how to teach this generation (simply and Biblically), how to evangelize them, the need for focus on service and mission, the need for transparency, and many other ideas that really hit home for this generation.Being 25 years old, I'm right in the middle of the type of people he was describing, and the author did a terrific job of using real life examples, personal love, and practical concepts that will point you in the right direction if you have a heart for seeing young adults thrive in Christ. Buy this book.

Wow! This book is so well written, and pertinent to all ages. Mike Glenn is a gifted teacher and writer. My faith and daily walk with Christ was strengthened. This book both blessed me and convicted me and I recommend highly recommend it to everyone!
