Key-Bak Sidekick ID Badge & Key Reel, 24" Kevlar Cord w/Polycarbonate Case 3pk

I bought my first Key-bak many years ago, then bought several other brands for myself and for my staff. The other brands all broke, some only after a few months. Sometimes keys were lost because of the break. It is the point of connection between the cord itself and the key-ring attachment that breaks. The first Key-bak I bought is still working fine. Key-bak lasts. Key-bak is the most durable. Forget about the other brands.

I've used a lot of "cheap" retractor reels in the past. The main problem with them is the cord starts fraying near the end where it meets the case. They usually last about six months or so, then they break, making them useless. The Key-Bak reels with a Kevlar cord have lasted six YEARS without an issue. I finally replaced my old one when the plastic badge clasp gave up the ghost. I bought the 3-pack and gave one to my daughter. These things are well worth the price and piece of mind. They work VERY well.

I was looking for a quality badge reel, I am a little rough on them, this works great, I broke one already but 100% my fault and not an issue, I was carrying a heavy lid it pulled on the badge way beyond the reach and it ended up ripping the clear plastic badge loop, so it still is usable for keys or could have replaced the badge loop.

A great product with high quality materials. Sturdy and for long lasting use.

I've used these for a few years and love them. The Achilles heel is the plastic snap flap that holds a card. It wears out and there is no good way to replace it. The rest of the device is solid. So, I end up tossing a good device in the trash with a worn out 5-cent component.

These appear well-made with a hefty nylon cord so they should last a good long time. Metal wire would be even better, but those cost a LOT more than these. I bought a 3-pack, so if I can get a year or two out of each, I'll be very happy. The carabiner clip is perfect for hooking onto the belt LOOP instead of the belt itself and that's the way I want it. I don't have a heavy set of keys to hang on the reel, so I can't speak to the spring strength in those situations, but I badge in and out of work 4 times a day on average, so the spring gets plenty of exercise.

didn't realize there were 3 in the package, so would have just ordered one, but it works great. I clipped it to my purse so I can just keep my keys inside the purse, but the pull is long enough to unlock my house door with the keys still connected to my purse. No more misplacing them! Good product.

Have been using it for my security passes and tapping in and out of doors like a yoyo. Makes a queer squeaky noise now after much usage, but if its tough, who cares. Recommend the product~
