Feel the 'lure' of Book #1 in The Allure Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy
lure is the follow up to the introductory novella, Seduction's Kiss, which Ivy has included at the front. Read the novella first. It contains necessary information needed to make sense of some things in lure.SPOILER ALERT... SPOILER ALERT... SPOILER ALERTI find lure an enjoyable read. It is mostly about Daisy and her journey to find Owen.As before, New Orleans brings strange to Daisy. Though there is no Owen there, she finds suspicious changes in 'ownership' of the art store, voodoo store and vampire bar, which somehow seems important. I will have to wait to see if these things are important. Of course, New Orleans is where she meets The Allures.I wish I had a better understanding about them. When reading, I find the information about them is vague and delivered piecemeal. This makes it difficult to keep up with what is going on with them. However, Ivy does a great job foreshadowing the truth about Daisy's transformation. This is delivered in a linear and understandable way. It leads me to the ultimate revelation which both confirms my suspicions and delivers an unexpected twist. I feel that this is well-written and gratifying to me as a reader. My favorite plotline, by far, is the reunion of Daisy and Owen. Just the right amount of awkward, sweet and then builds to the hot and heavy night of their dreams. I am hopeful that they will stick together and eventually find a way to cleanse Daisy of the Seduction's Kiss so they can get their happily ever after.Other than the rather vague Allures, this is a very detailed account of Daisy's journey back to Owen. As I said previously, lure is an enjoyable read, especially for this reader who has followed certain of these characters from The Crescent Chronicles and The Empire Chronicles.

2 Years & 7 months have passed. She'll never forget him . . . or will she?
Early Chapter Spoilers but Nothing Regarding the Middle or End. ----In previous books Owen was a reclusive, almost quiet, secondary character. We knew little about him, but picked up small pieces here and there. Present time he and his sister Hailey were advisors to Levy the King of The Society and his new wife Ally. One Halloween night changes the lives of Owen and the human Daisy. Daisy is dragged along on a trip to New Orleans with her college roommate Reyna who wants to see her boyfriend Chad. Chad's roommate ends up groping Daisy the first night they're there, so the next morning Daisy takes off exploring on her own in New Orleans. Before she returns she had an interesting encounter with a supposed voodoo witch who slathers her with a paste she calls "Seductions Kiss." That evening Renyna plans on a foursome dinner, before partying at local bars. Daisy wants to avoid Shaun the Groper and instead accepts an offer from Duncan the Scary roommate to go out then later meet up with the others. Things were never th same after that evening, but one thing Daisy still holds onto is the winged blonde named Owen who saved her from exsanguination. Two years and seven months, a possey of psychotherapists and still she yearns to find him. That kiss they shared got underneath her skin and she'll never forget him. Hmm? Perhaps I should have chosen my words more carefully?Among all the others in these related series, this one took me by surprise. Granted I love everything Alyssa Rose Ivy writes, but this one is among the best. You left me hanging on the cliff though, so I can't wait to get a hold of Lust.

LURE is Good Stuff!!!
WOW. What can I say? When I first started the series I totally thought it was about VAMPS which I hate, but loved how it was written in Seduction's Kiss.Daisy, has graduated college and we find that she has NOT been able to get Owen off her mind. I mean who could blame her after the way that kiss was described lol. She embarks on a mission to head back to the Crescent City to find Owen and "thank him" for saving her life. During her return she comes into contact with a few "paranormals" that will again change her life.Owen also has been thinking of Daisy and decides to take a sabbatical to review his next step in life.Daisy's character is well written although at times she irritated me with her gazillion questions, but then again she had a right to ask them...but does she really want the answers.I enjoyed this book so much that I took a half Saturday to read it. I loved how Alyssa wrote the characters and I like how in each of her books none of them are the same. Daisy is brave and confident and was much more mature I think than the first book. Of course it's 2 years later so we see here evolve. I like Owen's character. He has a high ranking position with the Society, but in this book also shows his human side and vulnerability. What more can you ask for than sexy and vulnerable in a book boyfriend.Read this series. It's not like anything out there!

Absolutely fantastic read! So happy to have Owen's story and it's just the beginning!
Another wonderful read from Alyssa Rose Ivy. I love reading her books! Lure is the story of Owen and Daisy. FINALLY we have Owen's story. We've been following Owen since the Cresent Chronicles, through Empire Chronicles, and now to the Allure Chronicles. Do you have to read all of those before reading Lure? Nope. You sure don't. But, man if you want a great series full of twists, surprises and love all things paranormal with a lot of love thrown in, then please get your kindles out and start reading at the very beginning. As I said prior, we've been waiting for Owen's story. Owen's always been the quiet, thoughtful advisor and friend to the King of The Society. Always doubtful of ever finding someone to accept all of him, Owen has always protected himself by never getting to close to any woman. Enter Daisy. Oblivious to the paranormal world Daisy finds herself in trouble with only Owen to save her. But can Owen stick around and admit his feelings? What makes Daisy so irresistible? About the time you start getting answers is when this author closes the book leaving you hanging! Ultimate cliffhanger, but so worth the read. You'll never close a book of Ivy's that you won't love and be begging for more. If you like this book check out the rest of her series. I've read them all and each one is fantastic. Happy Reading

Wonderful
I really can't wait for the next bit! So engrossing, I hope that things work out and that she doesn't become some sort of emotionless machine (or a "Q" from Star Trek NG). Being bored for eons makes me shudder
