Perfect for alpha 1 gen 1
I have a carbed mercruiser 5.7 vortec with alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive. This impeller costs twice as much as the cheaper Amazon knock off because it is twice as good. I have always ran the cheaper impellers because I change them every season and they generally work. I had one burn up this year so I went and got this one and my boat has literally NEVER cooled this well. Temp won’t break 160. This is worth the extra money, night and day difference in cooling performance.

Excellent kit! Comes with everything needed for changing out that old crusy impeller. Works for a few different combinations of engine/outdrive so don't worry if there are parts leftover in the kit. Worked perfectly for Alpha One gen 1/Mercruiser 305
