helps a 'bit' with energy - along with some other energy supplements. i'm OLD and most days i have NO energy, but these do seem to help a little - as previously stated, with some other supplements. when i told my doc i was taking them she included testing for magnesium in my blood work, and it came back i was taking too much, so i quit the magnesium glycinate i was taking at bedtime.

I've tried a few Magnesiums already. Magnesium citrate is great for constipation. Magnesium Glycinate is great for sleep and anxiety. In fact, Glycinate works too well that I can't take it during the day or I will get brain fog. Magnesium L-Threonate is good for hyperfocus. It really makes you focus, but I can't take that one at night or I will get crazy dreams or feel like I can't get a fully deep sleep. Now Magnesium Malate... I don't know if it works? Malic Acid supposed to be good for energy but the effects aren't as noticeable immediately as the other ones. Maybe it's not building up as fast? I would say this is the best one for me if I just want a magnesium that has the least other effects on my mood or sleep or bowel habits. I reordered it twice but I want to try magnesium taurate next. If that doesn't work well, I will go back to this.

This Magnesium Malate is used by me (nearing late 30s male) as a means of helping with workouts that occur early in the day and at night. Specifically, I engage in HIIT on a stairclimber as a means of sustaining my heart beat over 170 bpm. Not only is a 170+ bpm heart rate strenuous on the heart, but the muscles as well. If the HIIT is done early in the morning with the day ahead of you, your muscles and nerves will complain. That is when the Malate portion of the Magnesium comes in. Specifically to aide with what was lost through the sweat and strenuous exercise. There is actually really no need to take more than 1 tablet. Taking more than 1 can lead to excitatory peripheral nerves, so do not put yourself in that situation. Make sure you check to see if you are getting electrolytes from elsewhere ("minerals" in purified water, sports beverages), as it can lead to certain problems of electrolyte imbalances.

I take them before bed. Sleep much better. Actually wake up rested which wasn’t happening previously. Also seemingly prevent muscle cramps which were a consistent challenge.

10/10 product if you have ME/CFS, fibromyalgia or pain conditions. It’s the only product that’s pure high strength mag malate and isn’t combined with anything else. Been using this for years.
