Q: Is this product safe to use on copper mugs that would be used for drinking from?

No it is not in fact it states on the package to not use it with anything that will come in contact with food products.

Q: If i put my jewels into the solution will it ruin its exterior? Such as pearl or topaz

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! This is NOT a jewelry cleaning product. It is a metal acid dip after soldering to remove oxidation, excess flux, and firescale from propane torch. Only copper, gold, silver can be dipped in this solution. Anything else like brass, nickel, zinc, stones, pearls will be ruined. This is not a finished jewelry cleaning product but a bare metal cleaning product during manufacture. Very different. Use soap and water for jewelry cleaning only.

Q: What is the proper way to dispose of this?

DO NOT POUR DOWN THE DRAIN EVEN IF NEITRALIZED WITH BAKING SODA! After use, it will be saturated with metal (often blue in color from the copper that comes off the metal that was soaking in the Sparex solution). That MUST be put in a plastic container, neutralized, and labeled before being brought to a hazardous waste disposal center. All cities have intense regulations about dumping solutions contaminated with copper into the water as it affects the fish, plant life, and eventually, YOU. Just be an adult and do it.

Q: How often does the solution need to be replaced?

If stored properly the solution generally does not need to be replaced. You can add water as needed as it evaporates over time. Thanks!
