To Russia with Love by Chris Almeida and Cecilia AubreyReview by Mary BethThis is the second book in the Countermeasure series and trust me when I say it brings everything you expect and then some. This book was probably one of my favorites so far by Chris and Ceci. I loved the fact that we get a continuation of the adventure that is Cassandra and Trevor but we also get the opportunity to get to know some of the secondary characters like Jessica and Stephan.We find Cassandra and Trevor living in wedded bliss in their new home in Ireland (with the best doorbell chime ever). Cassandra is no longer working for her father and Trevor is just a consultant for the NSA. They get a tip from their friend George about some information on Trevor's parents and they run with it. This leads them all the way to Russia where Trevor has to infiltrate the Russian mafia so he can get the information he wants about his parents. Will he survive long enough to get the information he is searching for and get back to Cassandra in one piece?As much as I love Cassandra and Trevor; which I totally do, I really enjoyed Stephan and Jessica's story throughout this book. WE get to really understand them, love them and watch them grow. They both have such personal struggles it was a sight to read them and FINALLY give in to the inevitable.It seemed like I just consumed this book. Chris and Ceci write with so much detail and content you'd think it would be difficult to read and understand, but they make it easy and enjoyable. It is amazing to see two different people take their ideas and so seamlessly put them together to create stories that leave you wanting more.

Hello, my name is Lori and I am a Countermeasure addict. With each book, Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey get better at the intrigue, better at the interactions and yeah...better at those wonderfully erotic love scenes! I love how the story line of finding out what happened to Trevor's parents is what basically drives these books...and along the way, there are all these other hair raising stories happening! We get Jessica and Stephen in this one, Nathan, aka The Hulk, (at first we booed and hissed, but then cheered when he meets Nikol!...Do it again Nikol...do it again!) and 2 new characters, Dmitriy and Tatiana (I am just lovin all these wonderful geeky, techie types). We get more twists and turns than you get when driving down Lombard Street in Frisco...Chris and Aubry manage to keep the adrenaline flowing to the point that eyesight becomes wonky, fingers shake and breath is held....(They actually had to tell me to put the book down and go to sleep!) This one is my favorite so far and I can't wait to see what happens next....

From the first paragraph to the last, Cecilia and Chris take hold of your brain and don't let go until they are through with it. WOW!! That is an understatement. The main characters Trevor and Cassandra never fail to keep you on the edge of your seat. What a ride. Who knew that the world of computer espionage could be so thrilling. Their search for Trevor's long thought dead parents leads them into yet another exciting adventure. With this couple, the authors combine technology, action and love with the expertize of a master chef. The introduction of a possible love connection between their friends Jessica and Stephan lends even more to the love equation. There is no lack of intrigue as Team Bauer ferrets out the culprits and hopefully gets closer to the truth behind the death of Trevor's father. The characters come alive for you and like good friends, I hope they come to visit again. GOOD GOOD read. If there were more stars, I would give them.

Ok so I read the 2nd book to the Counermeasure Series. I liked it, but the constant hoping into bed from the main characters actually got a little tideous. Fine, I get it they are married for 8 months, but really?? every little look or every little saying had them getting aroused and then right into bed. I actually found the story between Jessica and Stephan more interesting than some of the storyline, but I kept reading. I like the twist and turns of the story. This won't stop me from reading the next one which I'm doing right now....chris and cecilia...did a great job...keep it up.

I enjoyed  Countermeasure (Countermeasure #1) (Countermeasure Series)  so much that I jumped right into this book, the next in the series.The story picks up about a year after the first book ended. Trevor and Cassandra find themselves in deep dung yet again this time in Russia. Wanting to protect their 'family' and not knowing who to trust outside of their inner circle, they trust no one. Was this a mistake? You'll have to find out.I personally loved the plot twists and turns. The books also have an elusive element that runs through them that makes me want to read more and more of the series. Not only that but I want to find out what trouble Trevor and Cassandra get into next... or maybe more to the point how they get out of trouble.I offer kudos to Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey.

A great second book to the series. It was so intense at times that I had to put it down and walk away til my heart rate regulated but then was drawn back to it. It's filled with action/adventure, suspense, romance, hot steamy sex. I love all the books but so far this is my favorite. You cry, laugh, scream, and bite your nails as you make your way through this book.These books are bittersweet to read...you can't put them down because you want to know what's going to happen next but then you finish and you miss the characters. It's hard to find books that make you feel that way!

There aren't enough adjectives in the English language that can describe the feeling of being scared and exhilarated at the same time while reading this book. While it is true that each book is a stand alone book, reading them from the very first is must, so that the reader can understand the feelings of all the characters. Check the author's website for the reading order oh the series.

Or rather the second one I have read. This one was very intriguing and it was rather long, but that's OK.

Another brilliant episode in the on going story of Trevor and Cassie's quest to find out wot happened to Trevors parents. The twists and turns keep u on the edge all the,way thru as the drama builds. Add in the side story of Jessica,and Stephan and even the starting story of Nate and Nikol and u have the perfect scenario of luv and intrigue. Can't wait for the next bk.

This is the third Countermeasure book I've read and they just keep getting better. Full of intrigue and spies but also intertwined with love stories. I am rooting for Trevor to find his parents. Great writing!

formulaic easy read. Not as good as 1st book but still exciting although I skipped the steamy scenes as they went on for pages and didn't add to the story.

Could not stop reading fascinate ing looking forward to enjoying more from this author ranks with Lee child and James Patterson

Great continuation to the story, need to read the next one now to hopefully answer the main mystery.
