Surprised a bargain
very surprised a very small box, that does a lot, a have a spare skyuk zone2 dish set up to pick free euro tv up from around europe etc, i can adjust it to get a few satellites ASTRA1 German TV 19.2E, - ASTRA2 UK TV 28.2E, - HOTBIRD 13.0E ITALIAN/ MID EAST TV, - I Can also get 23.5E + 16.0E Satellites, I've tuned this oakcastle box no problems getting Astra1, Astra2, Hotbird13, I'll try the other satellites over the weekend, the menu is a bit quirky but all channels come in strong and a good signal sound and picture, the EPG is now and next afaik, the youtube app on the box works. Ive uploaded a few pics of the menu the box etc,

Complicated
*UPDATE June 2024: the box has completely stopped working, after a week or so of intermittent shutdowns and picture distortion. Really, no redeeming features at all!*I feel mean giving this a lower rating, after all I bought it because it was cheap - but now wish I'd spent more and got a model that's simpler to set up.First, the number of things you need to do to use this to view TV channels is off-putting. Second, figuring out that you need to do all those things, and how to do them takes time. I only figured it out after reading other reviews online. The on-screen menus are not intuitive. I found my way through via trial&error. You need to select each individual satellite from the list of available satellites, then scan each one separately to install the channels it carries. These are usually a mix of various different language channels. Having scanned the satellites, you end up with a very long list of installed channels, many of which are duplicated and in no particular order. After spending some time working through my channel list deleting unwanted channels, I am left with an unsatisfactory list of channels in a random order. It may be possible to rework them into a different order, but I have spent more than enough time on this already. I just wanted the usual Free Sat selection of channels, but after lots of work I have only an incomplete selection - and some are not the correct region. My advice: pay more and get a more user-friendly unit.

As others have said, unwanted deleted channels keep re appearing. Annoying
Lots of duplicate and non english channels are there after initial set up. I deleted them but often they reappear including scrambled and adult channels.I bought this because my main viewing is with a fire stick and my internet provider( Starts with a V ) keeps loosing wifi almost on a daily occurrence. This box is my back up and has HD channels as well. I have connected a 1TB hard drive to it and it works ok. There are quite a few channels that i dont have with my fire stick so more for me to watch. Remote control is flimsy but works. This only has 1 input for the satellite cable so you can only record what you are watching. The recording function will turn on box to the desired channel so you could record during the evening after bed time if you plan ahead.

It’s very cheap and you pay for what you get
The box is small and well made but was probably programmed by an 8 year old. You can set up your channels as you would like and think you’ve done a tiptop job. The box will re-arrange them as it feels fit at random. It will add back channels you delete and give you a few you have not seen before. The record function is useless. But it was £19 so what do you expect!

Good value for money
A great little machine but I did struggle to set it up as it wasn’t quite as per instruction. I had no idea what my satellite dish code was. Having got someone to sort it, it’s works perfectly.

Not compatible with all TVs
I really wanted to like this unit. It's small, easy to set up, and has a nice, clear EPG. Sadly, I guess you get what you pay for.The most obvious issue for me, was the incompatibility of the Remote control. I have a Toshiba TV, and the remotes conflict. The "right" button on the Box remote activates the mute on my TV. The "Exit" button also activates the "1" button on my TV. There were several other clashes, but basically, I could not navigate the EPG without shutting off my sound, and I couldn't leave the EPG without changing channel. Simply impossible to deal with. I have had Toshiba TVs before, and the remotes tend to work on the newer models, so I would go so far as to say this box is incompatible with Toshiba TVs generally.I did persist though, and I tried to set up to receive my channels - but even there, there were major issues. The scan function is far too simple - you can scan a satellite or not. I could not find a way to scan a particular transponder, or increase the scan range to find more channels.I need a box to receive German channels which are free to air on Astra 19.2E - They are there as my old box still broadcasts them. I could not get this box to pick them up. It seemed like the scan range was too narrow, and I could not see any way to expand it.It's a cheap and cheerful box, that will give you the basics, but there are some major issues. I cannot recommend it.
