I used this book to prepare for a teaching interview, and it gave some really helpful advice. I felt like there were so many possibilities and spins that I could put on answers, and I just needed something to help me to answer clearly and effectively. This book didn't give me canned answers, but guided me to finding my genuine answers. It just helped me to not fumble or ramble as much. It took work and practice. This book is not a magic wand! It was worth purchasing and I highly recommend it!

Great addition to my interview prep
There is a lot of great advice in here. I read the whole thing...twice...and referenced the questions later on multiple times. There are a few typos and formatting errors (most likely due to the conversion to Kindle version, which is what I got) but the information is all there. I felt confident going in to interviews and I was told multiple times that I was very well-prepared. I did end up landing a job (after 8 interviews, but I'm in a tough market) and I've been told by everyone on my interview panel how great my answers were and how well prepared I was (don't forget to RESEARCH YOUR SCHOOL, that was a big seller that tipped the odds from one candidate to me). Buy this if you're nervous about interviewing or a looking for your first teaching job (like me!)

Best Book for Teacher interviews!
If you are new or a veteran teacher this book has a lot of helpful information. I have been a teacher for 13 years. I wanted to change school districts, but had not had a formal interview for over 13 years. This book helped me get prepared & I was hired into the school district I wanted. It's very hard school district to break into, with over 300 applicants per opening. Just being called for an interview is a huge deal. I was able to use the advise in the book and apply it to my experience . I would call the book, The Golden Ticket to Landing your Dream Teaching Job!

A lot of the information it gives is pretty common sense
It's a fairly quick read, and there were lots of valuable practice questions. It's definitely aimed at first year teachers (makes a lot of references to going into teaching straight out of college which I found odd), but I'm sure veteran teachers could take something away from this too. A lot of the information it gives is pretty common sense, but it's still useful to have it reiterated. I think the most valuable part of the book for me was all the practice questions inside, and the chapter about how principals are looking for someone to make their job easier. Again, common sense, but it changed the way I was thinking about interviews. I got offered a job at the first interview I went to after reading this.

The book gives some great pointers! Some of it is a little over ...
This book is a must have if you're looking to land a teaching position! It helped me gain insight, confidence and ultimately helped me get a full-time teaching position! The book gives some great pointers! Some of it is a little over the top but it's better to be over prepared than under prepared!

Very helpful
Lots of great suggestions of things to do and not do for a teacher interview. Bombed a couple interviews before this book, and did great on the ones after I read. Some of the information was stuff I should have known but didn’t think about until I read the book.

I am very thankful for this book
What a book to have as a reference in time for a looking for a new teaching job. Covers almost every possible questions you will be asked during actual interviews. I will update when I hear from the school, but I have a good feeling.

Painless Interview Process
I don't think I was asked a question that wasn't covered during any of my interviews. I got the second job I interviewed for, and definitely credit a huge portion of that to this book.

Inappropriate comment
I do not believe that saying 'I'm Jewish' counts as volunteering 'inappropriate information'. While I can understand that this may be a warning as the interviewer may be anti-semitic, the fact that the interviewer may be anti-semitic is not something the interviewee should have to make allowances for.It specifically singles out Judaism here by giving the example 'I'm jewish' as something apparently inappropriate to say. This was in a list of inappropriate responses that also included 'My boyfriend is in jail for about the next six years'.I'm surprised that this got through any of the pre-publication reviewing stages.Photo attached.
