Love it! Highly Pigmented & Stain Resistant!
I searched high and low for a machine washable large area rug to replace my previous higher pile rug in this space which I could no longer get clean from the stains and odors my 2 puppies left. I found most washable rugs to be $400-$500 plus the $100-$150 rug pad go underneath. Additionally, the machine wash rugs were seemingly all neutral and/or muted colors (I began to assume that was so there was no fading from machine washing?) Because of the neutral couch, walls, etc in this room and the kitchen it opens up to, I really needed something with color. This rug is a beautiful color and highly pigmented! I don’t know how this will stand up to washing in the machine (or if it’ll 100% fit in my regular sized washing machine) but so far I’ve shampood it and spot cleaned it with no problems! I’m sure it’ll fit in the larger laundromat wash if needed for an occasional full clean, and it’s not too heavy and easy to roll up so I don’t think it’ll be a hassle to transport for an occasional wash. Messes and spills are easy to pick up, and it looks brand new after! (It’s not a “distressed” color pattern but the color is slightly varied throughout unlike a solid colored rug that might show an outline of where it was spot cleaned etc.) It also doesn’t require the additional purchase of the rug pad underneath! If you flip the rug over you’ll see that there is a rubber layer under the rug, so not only does this prevent the rug from slipping and sliding, it also ensures that when I do shampoo it, no water is reaching the hardwood floors. Many of the “washable” rugs I found prior to this one were indoor/outdoor and I questioned how they would feel underfoot even though my first priority was cleaning. Although this rug is thin (of course, hence the machine wash) it does not feel straw-like or mat-like. It feels surprisingly soft under your feet despite being low pile! I searched for SO long for something easy to clean, with color and somewhat reasonably priced and I am thrilled with my purchase! This rug was better than I expected and I would highly recommend it — especially if you’re worried about cleaning up after pets or children. It didn’t come in an 8x10 like I previously had in this space but I happily sacrificed a few inches on each side with the largest size of this rug offered which was 7’6” x 9’6”. Would absolutely purchase this brand again! Nov 2025 update: 2+ years later and I still highly recommend this rug! It DOES fit in my standard front loading apartment washing machine. When there are larger spills or pet stains I run it in the machine twice with an extra spin or 2 and lay it out to dry for the night before putting it back down on the floor and it looks great. I’ve done this numerous times since I purchased the rug and there are no signs of wear and tear on it so far!

Cat Approved, Looks and Feels Great!
I just got this area rug in and so far it's wonderful. The colors are exactly as shown in the ad, it's soft to the touch, it rolled out completely flat without having to put anything on in which I was shocked and relieved about. We bought this because our kitties love to jump around when they play but the hardwood floors had them slipping and sometimes falling not so gracefully. This gives them a nice playing area with traction, and it actually stays in place even when the 15lb chunker jumps around on it so the back grip is pretty good quality. Love that it's eco friendly and washable since our one kitty has a habit of peeing on rugs. I'm hoping this one will survive better than the last one that we could never get the smell out of. I would love to see the grey and orange styles come back in stock someday though, I originally wanted the grey version of this watercolor design and waited over a year for it to come back but it seems to be out of print now. The blue does look very nice though so I'm glad I gave it a shot!

One year in and I love it
I really like this rug. I’ve had it for a year now, and it’s been positioned at the glass door that leads to the backyard. That backyard also leads out to barns, cows, goats, pigs (sometimes), chickens, rabbits, dogs (they like to sleep on the rug), and cats. I also homeschool and have 4 kids. This rug has taken a beating. The kids always *aways* want to come in the glass door (especially with eggs and milk) because it’s right by the kitchen and it’s more convenient than going through the gate and coming in the mud room. I’ve washed this rug 1-2x a week. I’ve had it for a year now and the edges have started coming apart. The top layer of the rug has been separated for several months, but that hasn’t impacted the function. I vacuumed it and that might have done it, but it’s all along one of the long sides and even all the way down, which seems odd. I have no idea. I will be buying another one, and I’ll keep the vacuum off of it. Sweeping straw and dirt off of it is very easy, so I’ll stick to that. I really like that I can wash it (especially after the kids come in with barn boots on it). It isn’t great as far as the non-skid, but it worked where we have it. I just move it a bit when I need to. It seemed like the backing wore off pretty quickly, I added a photo of what it looks like now. Edit: I bought a second one in blue and have had that one for a year now also. The rugs stay looking almost brand new very well, super impressive. I really wish the non-skid backing worked. This one hasn’t separated at all like the last one, and I still vacuum it. I’ll probably look at a different brand as I’m looking for a rug for a hallway and need it to not move around so much. I would consider one of these in a living room or dining room though, where large furniture would hold it down and keep it from moving. I love that I can vacuum it, I have some other washable rugs and the vacuum sucks them up, so not what I’d want in a larger rug. Overall still very pleased with these rugs.

Looks good, cleans up well but is not non-slip
I love the look and feel of the rug and think that it's made very well. Food accidentally dropped on it washes out in your washing machine very well. I always spray it first with a stain spray right before washing. We have tried wiping some of them such as spaghetti sauce, while it comes out you can still see a little bit of a circle where you cleaned it up. But this definitely goes away once you wash it in the washing machine. My Con is the rugs backing is not non-slip at all! This thing moves all over the place and I'm constantly putting it back. I have not decided if I wanted to try a double-sided flooring tape or put an actual non-slip pad under it but I hate the fact that I have to now buy something else. For your knowledge our flooring is Vinyl Plank Tile.

Beautiful Runner Rug
I ordered two of these runner rugs and they arrived rolled up and secured in plastic, they were easy to open and when i laid them down the were perfectly flat. The size is great 30" x 6', big but not too big. The colors are great, i got the neutral abstract and it goes beautifully with my home. One is in a hallway leading to the garage and laundry and it keeps that area clean and catches any litter tracking out from the cats, the other is in front of a double front door and it looks lovely, it's thin but not flimsy, it has a nice solid back and the weave of the fiber is easy to vacuum with a floor attachment of my vacuum or even a dust buster. its very easy to clean and i wanted that because i have two dogs and three cats. My dogs like the rugs too and will often lay on the one by the front door in the evenings. Overall it's a great product and i reccomend for anyone looking for a quality runner rug to purchase a ReaLife Rug.

Beautiful but moves around a lot
Absolutely love the look of this rug. Beautiful color and striking pattern. And I'm thrilled it is machine washable. BUT, no matter what I do, this rug want's to migrate. I've used two different types of anti-skid liners and the darn thing still has to be repositioned daily. Very frustrating! It is sitting on a not-slippery tile floor. If you're not worried about this, then I would consider it an excellent rug.

Very happy with purchase
This replaced an $800 west elm rug i had in my office that just got too dirty looking for me to tolerate and i had to tape it down to stop it from sliding. I was very happy with the color of this rug- i got a darker modern blue color. I feared it would have the quality of the rug i bought from a road vendor in college but the rug feels like cotton fabric on the top and doesn’t shed. Now mind it’s very thin, there is no plushness or depth, but it stays on my floor without moving around and looks quite attractive. And the thinness leads to its washability. It’s really perfect for my office as i can also easily move my wheeled office chair across it and it doesn’t slip around—no need for a separate rug mat. Overall I’m very happy with purchase- and you just can’t beat the price.

Magnifique tapis

Bello, leggero, antiscivolo
