We bought a Halo BassiNest on Facebook Marketplace, and the mattress that came with it was not comfortable and pretty thin. Our baby had a lot of trouble getting comfortable on it, and we wanted a safer, softer option for her. Because this is a Halo product, we knew it would be safe and high quality. The mattress fit perfectly in our BassiNest, and the breathable material helps keep the mattress very cool. The cover is machine washable if you have accidents, or your baby drools or spits up; came in handy when our baby was spitting up a lot in the first few weeks! The actual mattress is water resistant, but shouldn't be machine washed. Our baby has now graduated from her bassinet, and we were very happy with this mattress. We got several months of use out of it, and I highly recommend it if you are on the fence! It's expensive, yes, but so worth it. It's firm enough to be safe, but soft enough to keep your baby comfy as they drift off to dreamland.

Should have bought this waaaay sooner. I originally got the halo swivel bassinet as a baby registry gift and at first my newborn wouldn’t even lay down in it hahah, but when I finally got this replacement mattress she completely changed. I also really liked it because unlike the original mattress it comes with, this one is extremely breathable and made me have much less anxiety about her during the night. I wish it just was a part of the original bassinet because to be honest once we got this one and could compare the thickness of the two mattresses, this one was always the obvious choice because the original probably felt like sleeping on a slab of marble it was so thin haha. The thickness of this one is so much better but not too much because I was worried she would sink into it and it would cause positional asphyxiation but no it’s just right and you don’t have to worry about that, even as my baby got bigger this mattress provided comfort but she never sank into it in a way that had me overly concerned. It was a total game changer and worth the price and upgrade. Easy to clean, fit perfectly and lasted us the entire rest of the time we used the Halo Bassinet.

This was a great option for our baby during the first 6 months we used the bassinet. It gave us more peace of mind with the breathability. It also looked more comfortable than the stock pad.

This product was recommended as we also have the HALO bassinet. This is great. SO light weight, not easily stained, and quick to wash. It functions great, my newborn has no problem sleeping in her bassinet! It’s breathable, soft, waterproof, and can be used right out the package! It fit perfectly mug in the bassinet. I’m a happy momma, getting more sleep through the night! Give this one a try.

My newborn kept flipping up on her side when we first brought her home but I knew she was too young to roll. I was paranoid though and bought this breathable mattress to give myself some peace of mind. It was nice having a second mattress on hand as well when one was drying after being washed.

This breathable mattress is so much better than the mattress that comes with the Halo. My baby noticeably slept better once we switched to this and it being truly breathable made me feel more comfortable. It is easy to wash/clean. It fit the halo perfectly and seemed to be just enough padding for a newborn.

I actually ordered this at 3am when my crippling anxiety was keeping me up watching my 3 month old sleep. She has just started wanting to roll onto her side, so all night I was rolling her back onto her back, terrified to actually fall asleep. She has good neck control and strength, but fear and anxiety would not stop, worrying she would end up face down in her mattress. The next morning I actually went to cancel the order because I thought it was just my anxiety and it wasn’t a “must have”. Let’s get real… $80 bucks for a tiny mattress is a splurge for a stay at home mom. It was too late, the order had shipped. It was fate, it was Gods intervention, it was meant to be. This mattress arrived, I was immediately impressed, it is ABSOLUTELY 110% breathable. I was amazed. Even with a thin bassinet sheet it is easily breathable. Not only that, it is extremely comfortable. It is SO much better than the “stock” halo “mattress” and my girl sleeps SO much better now. We’ve been using it for a bit now and I’m FINALLY resting again. Last night I woke up, middle of the night, my baby was completely FACE DOWN on this mattress. Her owlette oxygen monitor was still at 100%. She was having absolutely no difficulty breathing at all. I obviously panicked but she was completely fine. The peace of mind that this things gives, I am amazed and so thankful for it. If you’re thinking about it, just reading reviews and debating. Take this as your sign to buy it immediately.
