Use Vitamin C Ester (fat soluble) for your skin instead of Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid water soluble). Ester C is more stable in lotions and less abrasive on your skin. I also use Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) which is a super antioxidant, anti aging and anti-inflammatory. I also take it orally for my RA and my Diabetes is almost inexistent... Such a "miracle" supplement for many ailments.
I didn't mix the Ester C in my serum, just add it when ready to apply to my skin. I hope this helps... Cheers to great health inside and out 🤩

I want to dissolve it in my lotion to make it a 5% DMAE. How do I convert the solid to a liqued to make it the correct percent?

You simply mix this with water or aloe vera gel or another waterbased liquid.  I would not suggest mixing this wil oil because that may keep the DMAE from penetrating...and allow 20 minutes for it to completely absorb - it will be dry before that, but I've found waiting longer seems to ensure that my skin has truly absorb it well.    I have mixed 1/8 tsp with 1oz of distilled water or aloe vera gel and mixes very easily.
