This book is the latest edition that has come out ...
This book is the latest edition that has come out, I have looked it over and read most of it, it is the same material, the only thing is it is the black and white version. The colors for ships and boats NAVIGATION Lights are NOT colored, only downfall and there isn't any new Notice to Mariners.

A must have for your vessel
This is exactly what it says it is. It’s an affordable, easy to read guide to COLREGS. If you’re a sailor you’ll want a copy of this on board and to study the basics. Each section covers both inland and international.

Meets the requirements of USCG
This is a bare bones reg book for US waters. It meets the requirements of USCG. But if I did it again I’d pay a little more for a better produced book. Things I don’t like about it: -Cheap newsprint feeling page paper -All black and white. It is so much easier to learn color signal and makings when you can see them in color. The pricier books have that. -The coastal rules and inland rules are interwoven every other page. I’d be willing to bet most people are either all inland or all coastal/ocean. It would be better to have separate book half’s. If your the type that never reads the rules but wants to have the book for the CG requirement then this is probably for you. Cheapest option.
