I have been struggling to find a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair type for a while. I have fine wavy hair that requires lots of moisture from mid-length to end, but I tend to have a very oily scalp. Either my scalp would be clean but the rest of my hair would be a dry, frizzy mess, or my hair would look nice, but my scalp would be an oil slick. I have tried SO MANY shampoos and conditioners. I was a bit wary to try this, thinking all the heavy oils would make my scalp even worse, but held out hope when I read it contained soap nuts. The first week or two were an adjustment, but after that it seems like my scalp and hair are finally on the same wavelength! There are no more oil slicks with dry frizzy ends! I found my hair responds best if I wash it twice and then do an apple cider vinegar rinse. No conditioner (I can hear all the curly and wavy haired people gasping in shock). It's summer right now, so I'll probably need to add a hair oil during fall and winter. The bar initially has an incense aroma (which I enjoy) and once the initial incense scent fades I found it had a pleasant, herbaceous almost slightly lemony smell. It lathers nicely, and I found two swipes on my head to be enough per wash. The bar also lasts a long time. I have a bob slightly past my chin and I have been using the bar as my primary shampoo (and occasionally bar soap for my face and body) for a month and I still have half a bar left. Compared to other shampoos I have tried in the past year, the price point is good for how long it lasts. Amazon's prices for the shampoo bars changes often, so I prefer to get it from a different supplement retailer that offers consistent pricing for this product.

I'm a new convert to bar shampoo. I have short, naturally curly, gray hair and am really happy with the results I get with this product. It lathers up nicely and rinses out easily. It leaves my hair softer and much curlier than the liquid shampoos I've used for years which is a plus for me. It has a mild scent and I think the bar will last for quite a few shampoos. There are other more expensive brands of bar shampoo out there but I will continue to buy this. For the price and the way it leaves my hair, it's a winner in my book. After using this shampoo for a couple of years I still highly recommend it. I also gave a bar to a good friend and she is now a regular user. One other thing I could mention is that when the bar you are using gets thin, it's very easy to stick it onto a new bar so you have abslutely no waste!

Great price, works as described. It's a strong scent. Can sting a little in sensitive areas. Lasts a while, lathers well. Sometimes I feel I need to wash hair 2x on more oily / greasy days. Happy for the eco friendly ingredients and plastic free packaging.

Love this stuff. I was tentative at first because of some of the negative reviews, but I find it works great for my short hair and I really like the scent. Lathers up great and smells earthy and natural to me which I prefer to flowery stuff.Happy I bought it and not throwing away a plastic shampoo bottle when Im finished with it is a plus

I see reviews of my favorite product complaining of a residue. This is VERY potent but not harsh. It works as shower bar, it works superbly as no-fuss shampoo - easy to travel, no bulk. I am seriously sensitive to scents and to any chemical additives. I have been using this for years, all scents whilst definitely there are pleasant not noxious and disperse gently. BUT IT ONY TAKES A SMIDGE! This is not like other soaps - acts m ore like a detergent (in our water - in hard water, maybe not - in hard water try rinse in soft solution - boiled water, vinegar solution, even baking soda will help to rise more completely). In softer water, *3* "rubs" over a head of ~8" long hair is sufficient to create a nice lather. Lasts a long time if not left to sit in water. 10 stars.

I've only use one other shampoo bar before and that was specifically designed for dandruff. But my experience with this one was not very good. After very first use my hair felt heavy and left residue on comb and brush. The worst part was this left my hair incredibly tangled and full of knots that took forever to comb out. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of one is that the packaging mentioned it can be used as regular soap and for that purpose it works fine. But has regular body soap it would be overpriced and i have no intention to purchase this product again. Hopefully I'll be able to find a better shampoo bar in the future

I absolutely hated this bar my first use... but once I used it properly it's my favorite shampoo ever. You want to be extra careful not to use too much (more than other shampoo bars). The scent is SO strong. It's natural, so no worries if you have chemical fragrance sensitivities (as I do)... but it's overpowering and VERY hard to wash out if you use too much. You want to lather it in your hands... not much at all... and then use the lather to essentially just wash your scalp... the soap runoff is enough to clean the ends. RINSE RINSE RINSE. Then repeat the process. It's better to use a little and wash a couple of times than to try and get a big lather. The scent when you do it this way is fabulous... like faint incense and keeps your hair fresh smelling for days between washing. I follow with a DIY ACV rinse and/or flaxseed gel conditioner. Your hair feels a little waxy until it dries... but feels silky and amazing once it does.

I love this shampoo bar but its different than the typical shampoos with hormone disrupting chemicals. It is a bit heavy and I did adjust to it. My hair felt a bit residuey for the first 3 uses, I learned to always do a double shampoo rinse and leave on for a couple minutes each time. It is not drying or harmful to leave on for extended time since its all natural. The back parts of my hair felt greasy the first time but now I do the double shampoo rinse and rub it well into the back. I wasnt using a conditioner bar since it felt heavy but the 4th try I did and my hair actually felt great. It wasnt heavy and even felt silky. You might get residue hair the first day or two after a wash but by 2nd or 3rd its nice and soft with no heavy feeling. But with the conditioner it was silky and soft instantly when dried without heavyness. Its hard to describe but this is worth trying and adjusting to! Completely natural, wont hurt our ecosystem or health.

These shampoo bars do a great job - they suds up terrifically - and they save plastic from going into the landfill. Even though they do indicate they recycle, but I wonder if they really do…. With these bars I dont need to think about it. A bar of shampoo soap lasts me approx two months at least…..

I love this shampoo. At first, when you wash it out, it feels like other "healthy products" - making the hair feel quite dry and sticky compared to normal shampoos. But this one, as you keep rinsing the hair, starts to get silky. I wash it out till my hair feels super silky and smooth. I usually have to straighten my hair after blow drying as it looks super frizzy and witchy but with this shampoo, I blow dry my hair and it has a beautiful silky wave...I almost look like I come straight from a haircut...I have never had results like this without even trying. The smell is nice as well, my whole bathroom smells like it :)

Lasts long, cleans well. Smells fabulous... beautiful curls afterwards!
