Body Butters for Skin and Hair (Mango Butter)

I have extremely sensitive combination skin and I use this mainly as a moisturizer for my face. It is the one thing I've tried so far that doesn't clog my pores but keeps my face from being dry and flaky in DC winters. I also use this after epilating and it soothes my skin and leaves it feeling nice and soft. A little goes a long way which means the amount you get is really great for the price. Moreover, it's unscented which makes it great as a base to add to a hair or body butter recipe.

Already have another jar of this in my shopping cart. I expected the butter to be wonderful, and it is. What I didn't expect was the jar. It's heavy duty and perfect size for reuse as a body butter jar.It doesn't really have a smell, but it works well for soothing chapped skin that had suffered from a chemical burn.

This stuff is awesome!! I use it to make homemade chapstick and I haven't found anything creamier or better than this. I also chose this product because it is unscented so when making homemade products I can add whatever essential oils I wish without an overpowering scent from the mango butter. I thought the broken up nature of this butter was a little strange at first but it works great so that part doesn't really matter, especially when it will be melted down most of the time anyway.

The mango butter is of good quality but I now use a lot and can get a much lower price per pound in larger quantity. I weighed the product and it was nearly 2 ounces less than stated. It's probably fine if you only need a little, but far too expensive if you want to make body butter etc. Will not buy again.

A fine-quality product for making hand creams, and (almost uniquely, alas) honest weight - almost an ounce over, even. Also a particularly convenient form of packaging: chunks in a jar is ideal for handling and storage, and whether one uses just a little at a time or all at once, much easier than either squeezing chunks from a messy bag, or having to melt a whole jar. Will be buying this one again (I hope).
