These are very forgivingly stretchy and soft. I do not think they will be tight if your feet and ankles swell.

Is this a winter sock?. Also, is it thick?

I wear them year round. They are slightly thicker than some socks, similar to the thickness of children's knee socks. They are not too warm to wear during the summer.

Do these socks have well cushioned soles?

These socks have nice cushioning on the bottom, and designed to have less on top of the foot.... i love that they keep my feet warm and comfy .... but not hot. They’re so great that I’ve just come back to order more.

No, they did not shrink. They held their shape and size after many times in the washer and dryer. I'm very pleased with the product.
