Great product and will probably get even better
Ok, here it goes...I REALLY like this doorbell. This replaced a 2nd gen Ring. I really like the smaller footprint of the Wyze, along with the chime that's included with it. Great bargain there, as the chime is programmable to different alert tones. The image and video from the camera is great...DAY OR NIGHT! it's very clear and almost zero lag from real-time. I power it with the same adapter (18vac) I used on the Ring V2. Installation was a breeze, as I only need to make 2 holes in the mortar and anchor it in. Setup...Take your time, and follow every step. You'll find that the setup is very easy. When you get to the part of Setup where you been to scan the QR code, hold it in front of the camera, then load it up on your network. I emphasize that because I made the mistake and tried to scan the code with my phone. LOL Once I got over my brain-fart, the rest was easy...VERY easy. Network connection...The Wyze is NOT 5G compatible...yet, so I loaded it onto my 2.4Ghz. I was concerned about it being mounted outside of a brick home, so I have a wifi extender on standby ( I needed it for the Ring V2). Much to my surprise, I don't need the extender. I'm getting a full wifi connection with no extender (you may find your circumstances to be different). Alexa...enable the Wyze skill and don't look back. I have a first gen Echo Show. It shows me the doorbell, but the video is in a different orientation, which I cannot change. But I believe that to be an Alexa issue. But I'm satisfied with the full-screen video I get on my phone, anyway. Overall, I give this unit 5 stars because of it's ease of installation, setup, and performance. I believe other features will be implemented as time moves forward, making this doorbell even better...time will tell. But for now, I'm very pleased...and surprised over the efficiency of this small doorbell. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good doorbell...along with a very inexpensive annual or monthly subscription to benefit from all of it's features. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great product but not for an east/west facing home.
Loved this camera/doorbell while it lasted. Put it up before Christmas and never an issue. Perfect clear images, easy to install, easy to use app. The front of our house gets the evening sun. Once summer started, our porch gets really hot in the full sun, for at least 2 hours in the evening. I think it fried our doorbell. We had issues with our ADT camera doorbell before this one. I figured the ADT one was faulty. Now I think itโs just the position of our home. Within 3 days of hot June evenings, the doorbell said offline on the app. We never could get it to come back on. Same thing happened to our east and west facing outdoor Wyze cameras. Great products, Iโm sorry they couldnโt withstand the 88+ degree days in full sun. Otherwise, I would 100% recommend if your home has some shade.

Super easy install, great picture, low price
First impressions.... The installation guide is great! So easy with step by step pictures and instruction. Having a close router is important for best quality. Can't beat the price, the UI of the app is super intuitive and user friendly. Will update again in a few months The micro USB port is SUPER nice! 2 days in: updated firmware and placed detection zones. Still can't get this to detect people, had an Amazon delivery.... No notification. But if the tree blows from a breeze I get 2 or 3. Hoping this improves I REALLY don't like the strobe like flashing when the device has lost wifi connection, I feel like announcing to everyone that HEY, THIS CAMERA ISN'T WORKING kinda defeats the purpose a bit. If I'm home, I will know the wifi is out,if I'm away a flashing light won't notify me any better than a "unable to connect" would Another update: now that I have finally gotten the zones and detection sensitivity set, this thing is a GREAT little device. Still not happy with the strobe when losing internet, and the wifi range needs work, but this thing is GREAT otherwise. Just bought 2 v3 outdoor cams to add to try out Another edit: make sure to label the fuze or to put a switch to cut power to the device, have had to hard reset twice, which isn't a big deal, it happens, but it's not as easy as pulling a wall outlet. I installed a switch on top of the doorbell chime from the initial wiring. Works great!

Second update. - boo
For starters- Iโm a 70 yo female- have never done anything like this before! I watched a couple YouTube videos and dove in. The most difficult part was sliding the doorbell onto the wall plate. The clarity of the videos- both day and night are incredible. I am going to get another to replace the regular doorbell at the side door, now that I know how simple the installation is. Great product, reasonable price- very pleased with my purchase! ****updateโ the biggest issue is itโs not โauthenticatingโ quickly. Everything else that is hooked up to the internet works fine, this thingโ by the time it makes it through all 3 authentication steps- the issues or person I was trying to view out front are long over. Iโve tried restarting the camera, WiFi etc- all the things suggestedโฆ yet here we are- not able to live view because itโs been on step 3 authenticating for more than several minutes then tells you to restart it. So frustrating. ***So now it completely doesn't work -error code 90, which I looked up, did all the things, which is a complete waste of time- it's still offline. So if you only need a doorbell camera to work for 2.5 months, this is super! If you have a need to be frustrated because your device doesn't work and all the "fixes" fail and you are left with a nonfunctioning doorbell camera that you spent money on, well, you've come to the right place!

Product is garbage. Image is good
Final update. Do not buy this. It seems like an update has improved the detection rate some... but I've discovered that the chime will not stay connected so there is no way to know when someone is ringing the bell unless you're looking at your phone. The alexa integration is not consistent either. Just purchased another brand in black Friday deal. I tried to cancel the yearly plan I had for this camera only to discover that there are no refunds for the remainder of the year of you cancel... it only stops the renewal. So I'm out the remaining 9 months worth of subscription. Support is garbage. Update: software is garbage and I'm actively researching which doorbell I want to replace it with (probably going back to ring) . When I have the settings low enough to where it doesn't alert on every little movement, it doesn't even capture people walking up directly to the door. I've paid for the "plus" subscription, but half the time it tells me features are unavailable because they're only for "plus" members... sometimes they work fine. When it does this, it won't record for another 5 minutes after it's triggered... idk how many packages I've had delivered during one of these "blackout" periods that were the result of the tree triggering movement (despite the whole tree being in the "ignore" zone). So disappointed because the picture and the night vision are really good. Getting pretty frustrated with this thing... I'll start by saying I replaced an older ring with this video doorbell since it was a great deal on prime day. At first, I was really impressed with the image quality compared to my ring. The field of view is much more narrow since it does not have the fish eye lense... but the image was clear and vibrant... i could actually identify subjects in the video (which the ring was a struggle). I did not like that this doorbell didn't hook up to my existing chime... have to use a plug-in speaker. After about 2 weeks of having this thing installed, the software and detection ability are driving me crazy. It's straight up awful compared to the ring software. We have a big tree directly in front of the doorbell and no matter how low I've got the sensitivity (it's at 14/100 now) or the fact that I've got 90% of the camera in a "no detect zone"now, I'm getting motion alerts every time the tree moves. (I've attached a picture of the detection zone, the darker boxes are supposed to be no- detect). I don't want to turn notifications off, because I'd like to be alerted when someone comes to the door. I did not have this issue with the ring software and the doorbell is in the exact same position. (I attached a screenshot from the ring - labeled 'ring' in the top left... and a video from the wyze camera). I want to love this camera... and I'm really hoping the software gets better. It was really easy to install and i think it would be great for someone looking for a budget friendly option.

Great video doorbell!
I really enjoy Wyze products to monitor my home. My home's original doorbell sits very far away from the front door and I decided to mount this doorbell directly on my door using an AC adapter and some 3M double sided adhesive tape and it's been working great ever since.

Love it
This is awesome we love it the video and view is very clear so is the night time view only complaint is that it's alittle lag not bad but I get an alert and by the time I open the app the person is walking away but it does record for a couple of seconds so you can go back and see who it was so it works for us the lighting is great and it looks nice too you can hear it perfectly all in the house i would recommend if you dont want something that you have to pay for every month also it was easy to install the app is also easy to understand so I do approve this brand and will be buying more for there gadgets so I can have them all under one app

Can't handle direct sunlight ๐
I looked very closely at the information for the Wyze doorbell prior to installation, because the Wyze outdoors security cameras (I bought four of them with solar panels) have a very clear message from the manufacturer, NOT to position the cameras in direct sunlight as it will damage the camera. Upon looking very well in the description AND asking (on the Amazon site) if they could with stand direct sunlight, I found no evidence that direct sunlight was an issue. In fact, I was told (in response to my questions) that indeed, they can be mounted in direct sunlight without any issues. This proved to be false. I mounted the doorbell which worked beautifully for about an hour. After which it went offline. I didn't everything to bring it back online, but kept getting a message that the QR code was incorrect. I finally called Wyze where they to attempted to bring it online, doing the very same things I did with the same results. To their credit, they did (without hesitation) decide to send another doorbell to replace the bad one and began processing the reorder while I was still with him on the phone. Also, they emailed me about every step of the process and it's current stage or position. In one of those emails, it dawned on me to ask if there is a problem with it in direct sunlight (I'm speaking with the manufacturer, so surely they will know if the new one can handle it or if I need to hang an awning to protect the doorbell) and again the response was swift and very clear..... yes, direct sunlight WILL damage this doorbell. It sure would've been nice if this was put in with the description as it is with the cameras. I'm still gonna use this doorbell because of the beautifully clear picture it gives and the distance of the clarity. Also, the customer service is second to none. I've NEVER had a more pleasant engagement with a company that I have a damaged product with. They are swift, don't argue or push blame, AND begin the process for a replacement within hours of the initial complaint. Wyze, you're customer service is outstanding!!!!. My only suggestion is that you put the sensitivity of the doorbell to direct sunlight in your description of it (thereby allowing us to decide if we still want it due to the location of the door and direct sunlight). It'll save your customers time and struggles. ๐

Works well But......
The Wyze doorbell does not come with a power supply/transformer so this has to be purchased separately. Installation and setup is quite easy and straight forward. The Chime unit is manufactured for the American market and therefore requires a converter socket to connect to a UK outlet, it comes with a good variety of tunes and with maximum volume selected it is very loud. The main NEGATIVE with this doorbell is that IT DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA IN THE UK!! It does work with Alexa in the USA and a request has been posted (approx 3 years ago now) on the Wyze Forum to apply the same upgrade for the UK but at this point in time this request has not been fulfilled. So in the UK Alexa will not tell you that someone is at the door nor will you be able to see who it is on your Alexa Show units. It is for this reason that I have given it a three star rating.

I like it!
I recently purchased the Wyze Video Doorbell with Chime from Amazon, and I must say I'm quite satisfied with its performance. Despite its smaller size, this doorbell manages to pack a punch and gets the job done effectively. The installation process was relatively straightforward, although I did encounter a minor setback due to not having the right drilling bit for my brick exterior. However, once that hurdle was overcome, setting up the doorbell was a breeze. It took me approximately an hour, but I believe it would be quicker for someone with the proper tools. One of the standout features of the Wyze Video Doorbell is its impressive video quality. Whether it's day or night, the camera captures clear and sharp footage, allowing me to see and identify visitors clearly. Even in low-light conditions, the night vision mode performs exceptionally well. While I find the Wyze Video Doorbell to be a fantastic addition to my home security setup, I do have one concern. Given its compact size, I worry about the potential for theft or tampering. It would be great if Wyze could incorporate additional security features to address this concern. Overall, I highly recommend the Wyze Video Doorbell with Chime to others in need of a reliable video doorbell solution. Its compact design, excellent video quality, and easy installation make it a worthwhile investment for enhancing home security. I hope this review captures your thoughts accurately. Let me know if you have any further input or if you'd like me to make any adjustments.

Fantastic value.
Just like all of Wyzeโ products, this one is exceptional value and fantastic quality. I only wish you could install multiple "bell" speakers around the home.

Best upgrade for my door bell
Easy to install, just start the Wyze and follow along. The chime is small but actually so loud that I could hear through out the house just like my traditional chime, you can control the volume though and also the chime sound. * Free 14 day video clips without subscription. * Notifies your phone when someone comes to the door by motion detection and when they press the door bell. * 2 way audio, with a few pre-recorded messages messages like (Can I help you?, Be there shortly, Leave package at door). * Wyze led logo can be turned on/off. * It lights up when motion is detected (you can turn it off from the app if you don't want it) * Automatic Night vision * Hardwired to existing door bell button (no need to worry about batteries) * You can program to trigger other Wyze devices based on motion detection like turn on lights, etc. * Does not support "Alex show me the front door" but you can watch it on your phone. That's the only drawback otherwise this beats every other door bell hands down in my opinion. * Cheaper than every other door bell. Great upgrade to my house, would highly recommend.
