Terrific watch and great value for the money!
Several years ago I was a huge Seiko fan and eventually learned about Orient - small subsidiary of Seiko that used many of the same internal movements and was another very popular watch manufacturer from Japan. I owned a couple of Orient automatic watches and enjoyed each one but then when the smartwatch came into vogue I quickly sold my automatic watches and picked up a smartwatch. The smartwatch was fun for a time but eventually I felt overwhelmed by all the notifications and my own constant checking of my pulse, oxygen saturation, and steps taken during the day. I passed my smartwatch onto my daughter (who's really into these things) and I began looking for a simple, automatic watch - I just like the time and date functions - I have a smartphone and don't need a watch to do all the same stuff for me. This watch looks amazing. I call it the Denver Broncos theme - the blue and orange just looks so sharp and the face has a finish that sprays the light across the face and is just beautiful. The outside bezel was a little tight at first but now it turns when I need it to (old school countdown timer) and the luminescence at night is good. The watch is automatic - it winds while being worn courtesy of a pendulum in the case that swings around and winds the watch as the wearer moves their arms. Being it is an automatic, it will run either a little fast or a little slow. Mine is a little fast - about 45 seconds per week, so I just unscrew the crown and pull it out once each week and let the time (as determined on my smartphone or at time.gov) catch up and then push in the crown and screw it down. I have not worn it in the shower due to anecdotes I've heard about soap and shampoo weakening the seals (so what about chlorine and salt water???) but if it's anything like the other Orient diver I owned, it will be fine. I even had an Orient Stingray that was 5 Bar water resistant and used to shower in it and it was fine, too - no issues with the soap or shampoo. I just haven't worn this one because then I have to remove it to dry my wrist and the back of the watch so why go to the trouble? The strap is very comfortable and the watch looks good with everything from a long-sleeved dress shirt to a t-shirt and jeans. I really like the quality of the Orient watches, and the fact that Seiko has allowed the company to still be its own entity, separate from Seiko. Orient watches are still more affordable than Seiko but I think they're every bit as good.

Rocking the Kanno!
Just received. Pics on site do not do it justice. Nice looking watch. Solid feel. I have large wrists. Second hand very fluid - like you’d see on high end automatics. Wish this came in a 48mm - but overall, loving this so far. Orient is outstanding. Only negative - lume a little washy… but still solid. Would recommend.

Great diver and great first automatic watch
Beautiful watch. This was my first automatic watch and first dive watch and I’m very happy with it. I trust orient and have a couple of their watches. The value is outstanding. I love the Pepsi bezel with black dial, it makes it a lot less loud but still very nice. This is my casual watch and looks just as good with a t shirt and jeans and with a button up. The case is definitely a bit too thick to look great with a suit in my opinion, but some people love that. I have pretty limited experience with automatics so not sure if it’s normal, but funny enough the time actually got a lot more accurate as I wore it. It used to gain like two-three minutes a day now it’s more like a minute a week. The water proofing has been fine I have worn it at the beach a couple of times and it was fine. Annoying getting the sand out, but no reason to doubt the depth rating.

Orient Kano Mens Watch with Silicone Strap
I was initially excited about getting this Orient Kano because of the nice looking bezel design. However, when I received it, the orange portion on the bezel wasn't as bright an orange as I was hoping, and the case size was too small and the rubber strap was too narrow. I do have a good size wrist at 8 1/4 inches, so its probably a good fit for a guy around 175 lbs. If they design one at 45mm case size with a 21mm or 22mm strap I would be all over it. It us a nice looking wach but just to small for me. The strap had a nice feel to it, date window & size is too small and hard to read. The screw down mechanism and date hacking had a solid feel to it, especially when winding, so very good quality. Bezel movement was very solid & accurate. Even though this watch isn't big enough, it still get 4 stars because it was my fault for buying a watch that I knew was going to be probably to small for my wrist size, but was inticed by the bezel design, there is the Orient Kamasu which fits me better and really is the watch for me in terms of size. So if you are around 150-180 lbs, should be a good fit for you. It really is a nice water sports type watch for swimming snorkeling & sailing. Definitely not a divers watch.

Buy orient instead of seiko
I have had this watch for a couple of years now. I can honestly said the quality of this watch beats the breaks off of their big brother brand. A great watch for the money.

Fantastic automatic watch
What an amazing watch! The pictures online do not do it justice! A very affordable and beautiful watch. Size is perfect, rubber band is also nice but I prefer a nylon band on it as it looks and feels amazing. Highly recommended for watch enthusiasts and a great piece for anyone’s collection.

Was will man mehr?

Fantastic Value
This is my first Orient watch, and my first diver. The case is rather large at 44 mm, and the length from lug tip to lug tip being just over 50mm. It wears great, however, on my 20.5 cm wrist, and I reckon it would be still be perfect down to about 17-18 cm, your mileage may vary. The case is about 13mm thick which is again, not too bad. The dial has a fairly light sunburst effect that is only obvious in direct sunlight but overall it’s a nice blue tone. Hour markers are applied, although these don’t protrude much. The hour & minute hands are matte while the seconds hand is mirror polished, with an orange triangle tip that complements the colour accent on the bezel. Both the markers and the hour & minute hands are filled with lume, even the seconds hand has a triangle shaped lume tip. The lume is greenish hue, the type that starts with a bright glow that drops quickly, however it maintains a “long burn”, I can easily read it in a dark room 7 hours after. The case has a circular brushed effect on the top of the lugs, with the case sides and back mirror polished, with the inner circle of the case back circular brushed again. Finish is good for the price. The face of the unidirectional bezel looks aluminium, its action feels slightly “smudgy” but it does click and it has definite stops, albeit slightly misaligned which I don’t mind much. The dial is behind a flat mineral crystal which has no scratches after 2 months of ownership, having worn it for about 3 weeks in total. The movement seems to gain approx 11 seconds when worn which is again okay, it’s not chronometer grade after all, and I’ve seen much worse on way more expensive Japanese models. You can feel the rotor moving around when on the wrist but nothing overly pronounced, I like it. The ticking sound however is very faint, I can barely hear it when sticking the case to my ear. The screw down crown on my copy is easy to unscrew and screw back, winding action is good, although isn’t very substantial compared to what I’m used to. Position 1 on the crown sets the date and the day of the week, depending on turning direction. Make sure to not use this function between 9 and 3 o’clock: the date wheel starts to turn 1.5 hours before midnight, and the day wheel 1.5 hours after. Position 2 hacks seconds. The strap is nothing to write home about: a standard, if not mediocre, grainy textured silicone affair. I decided to put on a Swiss 60s style orange silicone strap, and there’s my summer beater sorted! I’ve also a blue FKM rubber strap which suits it better then than the original in my opinion – see photos. Overall, it is fantastic value for a 200m WR diver, provided the somewhat larger size suits well on your wrist. No regrets from my side so far, will update if this changes.

Très qualitatif
Parfait en tout point ! Préférez le bracelet métal pour acheter ensuite un bracelet caoutchouc… cher si acheté séparément !
