Automatic Koi Fish Feeder for Ponds - 5L

Bought one of these feeders in 2018 summer season. Put it away for the winter, and when I took it out to use in 2019 the paddle wheel that feeds the pellets would not turn. So I purchased a second one in May 2019. With limited use over the summer, the paddle wheel on the 2nd one has now seized up (electronics still works). After contacting the seller to ask about a warranty return, they responded asking if I changed the batteries (you have to be kidding). I again wrote to them, and they responded that their records show I only bought one. What does that have to do with my asking to return the 2nd one. I didn’t ask to return the 1st one. These feeders are VERY cheaply made, for a price of $95. Also, the seller does not stand behind the product, just giving B.S. answers to questions, where you can only respond to them with a YES or NO answer, no narrative comments are allowed. So STAY AWAY from this product and seller, they are not reputable, unless you want to feed your money down the drain.

I just placed it in operarion. Settings are very easy.My concern is that it is cheaply made.I tested for 2 days and it worked fine.Short coming is that you can not control the amount of food that is dispensed. You can only control the amount of times in a day.Also, you can not shut the unit off unless you remove the batteries and then u most reset the times.In short I don't believe it is worth the $$$

I bought this feeder for my back yard koi pond. I put brand new batteries in, set the time, and set it to feed once a day. Then I went back the next day to watch it to see if it was working correctly. The first thing I noticed was the clock was no longer set to the correct time. Then I watched my koi cam to see if it dispensed any food and it didn't. I pulled the batteries and set it again and again it didn't work. If anyone from the company can respond to help reset or replace the brain that would be great. I was very excited about this product because it was exactly what I was looking for a large capacity battery operated feeder. I am leaving town soon so I am looking for help or suggestions. Thanks

I have had one of these for about 10 years. The first few years, it worked wonderfully, but the past three years have seen it go from sporadic to not working at all. This is a unit that is designed to be in wet and humid places (outdoors hanging above your pond), but the electronics are susceptible to corrosion. After a thorough cleaning and resoldering, I was able to get another year but now it is dead. After reading current reviews and with the problems I had with the unit, it is definitely not one to be recommended. The reviewer who stated you could not control the amount dispensed was in error, you can set up to four times per day for dispensing with three options for amount to be dispensed at each time. Programming is a bit tedious, do not lose the instructions, and yes you cannot turn it off, only remove the batteries which then requires reprogramming. Had very good battery life.

Battery inserting is unnecessarily difficult. Feeder resets all functionality when power runs out. Bad design. Easier just to feed by hand.......

The product is defective and does not work

It's not reliable and got stuck all the time. Also, The motor is very weak.

I have purchased 2 of these and each time they last maybe a year. Very cheaply made. Does not hold the programming very well. plastic on top where the strings go is very thin and breaks easily.
