Would this work with molex automotive connectors? say molex 1326030-2

The crimp tool is CORRECT, but the CRIMP DIES it comes with are not. As others have stated, it comes with dies for insulated barrel connectors. I have not found this crimper to be sold with the open barrel connector dies but you can buy them separately. The correct Klein Tools VDV205-036 Wire Crimper Die, Terminal, Open Barrel, AWG 10-20, Replacement Die set is currently sold on Amazon as well.

Anyone know if this could be used on a 10 AWG copper cable lug like the type used on batteries?

These crimpers are rated for up to 10 AWG, will absolutely work for that size wire. Most automotive battery main cables are MUCH larger than 10awg, more like 6awg - 2awg, and these would NOT WORK for those sizes. 10awg - 22awg is the capacity range.

What is the thickness of the dies/gap for them to slide into the tool? Standard is 4mm, looking for one that fits 5mm wide dies.

I have been working in electronics for 50 years and still not clear. But might I suggest you either buy the crimping tool and if it doesn't suite your needs, simply return it. Or you could check the Klein Tools website yourself for detailed drawings.

The ad clearly says for "stranded copper wire", but the photos also clearly show crimping on solid wire. Does it work correctly on both wire types

I recently was installing a TV antenna. Code requires that external antennas be grounded with #10 or larger copper wire (or some other alternatives). So I used #10 solid copper wire. With one of those combination wire strippers, screw cutters, crimpers things, and squeezing as hard as I could, I could not get the crimp tight enough to keep the wire from sliding out. So I tried the Klein 3005CR. I saw that it was for stranded only, and was worried, but decided to give it a try anyway with the solid wire. It worked absolutely perfectly.

Works outstanding on 10G or smaller terminals - insulated and bare!

I bought a hydraulic crimper that had everything you’d need for ay wire size, and then I found this crimper! This is an ideal crimper for ALL terminals up to 10G - one tool, no set up or jaw changes - this crimper is ideal for insulated and bare terminals. What you get out of this crimper is the SAME as a hydraulic crimper, but for all the smaller wire sizes - no squished terminals, just perfectly shaped connections!
