LiveClear Indoor Cat Food, Turkey & Rice, 5.5 lb Bag

I’ve tried a few different flavors from the Purina Pro Plan indoor line and my cats seem to like the turkey one the most. They started eating it right away without needing to slowly transition as much as I expected. The kibble size also seems easy for them to eat. I mainly bought this for the indoor formula and allergen-reducing benefits, but it’s been a plus that my cats genuinely enjoy it too. Their coats still look healthy and I haven’t noticed any stomach issues while feeding this. It is a little more expensive than regular cat food, but for me it’s been worth it since they actually finish their bowls consistently.

I hesitate to call the promised results of any product "miraculous," but that's exactly what I (and my cat, Puck) found this food to be. I suffered for years from my tuxedo cat's (Puck) dander. I would cough and hack sometimes when she'd come near. It got really bad. There was no way I'd give up the cat, though. When I saw this product advertised, I decided to give it a shot and within a week or so, the cat's dander was gone (or, at the very least, it had diminished to unnoticeable). With the cat's black fur, the dander was very noticeable before so I knew the food had worked. Also, my coughing and hacking had stopped almost completely. [Full disclosure: I ordered both a bag of Purina Pro Plan Allergen Reducing, Indoor Cat Food, LIVECLEAR and the Purina Pro Plan LIVECLEAR Rinse-Free Allergen Reducing Cat Shampoo. I used the shampoo when my delivery first arrived about two and a half months ago and it worked beautifully. I haven't used it on the cat since then because I wanted to see if I could rely solely on the food... which I found I could.] I've read some reviews that say that their cat didn't like the taste but, in my case, it was quite the opposite. I'm not saying the other reviewers were wrong, it's just that each cat, of course, is different. In my case, my cat went bonkers the first time I fed her the Purina. Man, she loves the taste and the smell (see photo)! She devours it. And she's the most finicky eater I've ever had. Plus, it's improved her coat. If your cat turns up its nose the first time, I would suggest adding just a little to their regular dry food at first then increase it over time so they can adjust to the taste. As I said, though, my cat LOVES it. I have two other cats in the house and this particular cat (Puck) is very jealous and possessive so I hide the Purina out of sight until it's time to eat. When I pull the Purina bag out just for her, I think she feels like she's special (which she is) and not getting the same-old-same-old dry food that the other two cats are getting (which she's not). I think that also contributes a little to her zealous appetite. She knows the bag by now and puts her face into the opening while I'm trying to pour it into her food dish. Try it if you're experiencing cat dander problems. It's a little more expensive than the regular dry food but it's so well worth the extra few bucks to be able to spend more time closer with your four-legged friend. (Plus, there's a money-back guarantee and you can probably find a $8 off coupon online from Purina.) I just bought another bag recently — Salmon & Rice Formula — and I switch it up every now and then for variety (I think she loves that flavor even more). Fantastic product! Purina Pro Plan LiveClear has become one of my cats’ absolute favorite foods. They really love the Turkey & Rice formula and always enjoy eating it. I’ve tried different foods with them, but LiveClear is consistently one of the options they get excited about and happily finish. I’m also very pleased with the overall quality and ingredients. It has definitely earned a regular place in their food rotation, and I’ll continue buying it for them. Highly recommended from my experience with my cats!

I’ve had a moderate allergy to cats for years, but I finally gave in to my kids' constant requests to get one. We ended up with a rescue domestic short hair, and of course, she decided she’s most attached to me and spends most of her time in our master bedroom. I was pretty worried about how my allergies would handle it, but we started her on this LiveClear food right away and it’s been a total game changer. To be clear, I’m not 100% allergy free if I pet her, I still have to be smart and wash my hands before I touch my face or eyes. But the massive difference is that she can sleep in our room and just be around without triggering a reaction. She isn't allowed on the bed and we do regular cleaning like any average family, but normally a cat in my room would have me miserable. This is just a regular rescue cat, not some fancy designer hypoalergernic breed, so the food is clearly doing the heavy lifting here. If you’re on the fence because you have allergies but want to make your kids happy, this stuff is probaly the best investment you can make. It’s expensive, but it actually works.

Been using this brand since my boys were old enough for adult food. Good quality and they live it so easy for them to digest. No strong odor, great size and texture. Ingredients are many but so far have helped with allergies

My boyfriend and I moved in a few months ago and he has bad cat allergies, and I have two cats.. so we tried this for a couple of months or more now and he says it helps. Its not a miracle worker but he says it does feel noticeable. Of course every body is different. My cats also enjoy the food and it sits better on my sensitive cats stomach than other brands. Just an fyi the kibbles are very small. So why not 5 stars? It is still very expensive and while it helps, it’s not an amazingly huge allergen help at least for us. The bag is also hard to open and I have to use scissors. Bags of this price like hills (which is even less, but not for allergens) have easier open and close bags. With the packaging seeming thinner than normal, I thought maybe it meant it’s more sustainably made or even recyclable. I don’t see an indication of that. They don’t claim to be so ok, but I’d like Purina to try that for the future.

DISCLAIMER : I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I was a bit skeptical at first about this food. A food that can reduce allergies , no way ? I was pleasantly surprised ! My cat absolutely loved the flavor of this food, the ingredients are very clean compared to other competitors . Every time I would start to open the bag at feeding time my cat would immediately rush over and purr. He knew what he wanted ! I gradually transitioned him onto this food and he went nuts over it. After he was fully transitioned, we fed him three times a day at 3/8 of a cup daily as recommended by our vet . My family suffers from seasonal allergies, and my fourteen year old daughter specifically has allergies to cat dander. Problem is she will not stay away from our beloved fur baby (who can blame her). Within approximately 3.5 weeks I noticed a huge improvement with her allergies when she was around our cat. There was a tremendous decrease in sneezing and watery eyes. She could actually be around him for once ! I do believe that the cat food helped with her allergies, as our cat seemed to not be itching as much either. We will continue to buy this as it provides us with a peace of mind, and she can enjoy quality time with our fur baby. This truly works and I highly recommend this product.

This is a life saver. My cat allergies are no longer a problem. Visiting family members also don’t have a reaction to my cat when they do most others. Game changer food

I am highly allergic to cats - itchy eyes, watery nose, and horrible sneezing! This stuff makes it ALL go away. It's spectacular to find something that actually does what it says it will do. I still have minor allergies (petting the cat, then rubbing my eyes - I know, silly me), but this has absolutely blown me away at how efficient and effective it is to reduce those allergens!

Original, amazing and only reason I have a cat, me and my brother are extremely highly allergic. We are not able to atleast love in the same house and play together. We still cannot put our faces into his fur haha. But u get me.
