Alright y'all. In my family, I'm known as the chip queen. I LOVE chips, all of them. I could literally live off chips and cereal. (Im fat now tho sooo im on keto). Im a salty snacky kinda gal. I have tried several brands of "keto" crackers and chips. Most of them are BLECH. quest chips, the protein powder grittiness is disgusting to me. Id rather go without chips than eat those and like I said, i love and miss my chips. I got these in the mail today, and ooooomg. Delish! The crunch and texture is literally the same as a tortilla chip. The flavor, well, to me the flavor isnt fantastic. The spicy salsa didnt taste very salsy-y to me, after a few chips i did eventually notice the slight kick. The ranch wasnt very ranchy but still had ranchy flavor. Are they doritos? No. But they are damn good! Maybe i just missed my chips that much but im telling you, dont even bother with any other brand, if you love chips and want something close to it, its these. Ill buy again even tho i said im done with spending a crap ton of money on keto snacks 😂 if there's only thing i could buy, id choose these. (Ok id switch off between these and high key cookies)

So I guess I'll be the first one to review. So I ordered a box of these because I'm on the keto diet & I really miss chips. I came across these just surfing & just HAD to give them a try. Not gonna make this long just gonna get to the point. If you miss chips, then this is your go to if you're on the Keto Diet. The Salsa definitely had a spicy kick to them, the cheddar is definitely cheesy, & the sour cream & onion is perfectly flavored as well. I will say this though, they all have the same after taste but that's expected. Would I buy again? Definitely, I think it was worth the money & will be purchasing more in the future.

Reviews led me to these chips. I've been making my own low carb chips and crackers. It takes time and a lot of experimenting with so-so results. Decided I would try these and save the time. The seasoning and flavor of these are pretty good. I like the Nacho ones the best, definitely a Dorito experience. The Spicy Salsa is next, and Ranch the least favorite, but I'm not really a big Ranch fan anyway. Unfortunately there's no way to get away from that chalky almond flour feel. They ARE a great substitute for chips and better than anything I've made in my own kitchen. A little pricey for a 1 oz bag, but I figure it's almost the price I would pay in a vending machine for "normal" chips and I'm saving my own time and money buying the ingredients. If I'm paying for a consistent product (they are) and someone else does all the work, with better results, then it's a winner. Bottom line: Worth it! These Hilo chips should be in every Keto cupboard. Don't hesitate to get these if you're looking for that salty tortilla chip goodness.

I bought them after reading reviews about how much better these are than the Quest chips. Already a fan of Quest, I thought I'd give these a shot. After trying them out, I can say that they are definitely not better. In fact, they're much worse. The flavor is not as bold or as good tasting. Hilo definitely has a much better crunch (I imagine because it has almond flour), but the benefit of that extra crunch you get from these is completely lost with the chalky texture that starts building up in your mouth. Essentially, it starts tasting and feeling like you're just eating powdered almond nuts. I just couldn't stand that chalky texture and the nutty taste. The Quest chips might not have as much crunch, but it's enough and it doesn't leave you feeling like you're eating powder. Otherwise, these are still a good replacement. There really aren't that many keto/low-carb snack options, and this is actually pretty satisfiying if you can get over that texture. I'd still recommend Quest over this brand, but Hilo is still a good alternative to regular chips.

I’ve tried a ton of chip alternatives because I was on the keto diet for almost 2 years. I am no longer doing keto, but I have continued to buy these chips! They are honestly my favorite Tostitos replacement. They taste comparable to Doritos or flavored corn chips, but better and not as salty. These are a great low carb & healthy alternative to corn chips. I actually like them better and the fact that they are ALSO Better For Me than traditional chips is awesome! The nacho cheese* & spicy salsa* flavors are my two favorites. They are great for making low carb taco salads or just eating with my homemade salsa! The only complaint I have is that they don’t offer a “build your own variety pack” option because although the Ranch flavored chips aren’t bad, I wish I could get a box of only the nacho cheese and spicy salsa flavors. ❤️

Update - I purchased these chips again, however my order was never received. Amazon shows it was delivered, they have my address but says it was left at the front desk or with the receptionist and the person who signed was NOT ME! First of all, I am in a house not an office and you can see the name of the person who signed was clearly not my name. I contacted Amazon who said they would reach out to the seller. So far is been over a week and I havent received a refund or replacement, in fact I havent received any communication from the seller AT ALL! So as much as I love these chips, going through this is NOT worth it!!! What a terrible way to treat customers! I've purchased some low carb chips and they went right in the trash..except these! I got the variety pack and went straight for the Nacho cheese but I wasnt very impressed, they were eh. Couldve had more flavor. So then I tried the Spciy Salsa and OMG! They definitely are spicy but they are so good! Havent tried the Ranch yet but that isnt my favorite flavor so theyll be last, and along with the Nacho cheese, they will just be there if I need something crunchy. Going to order a box of the Spicy Salsa though!

I like these quite a bit. I just recently started low carb and trying to be as normal as possible. I don’t want to just eat meat and cheese all the time, and one can only stand so many pork rinds. I feel like these are expensive, so I’ll throw that out there, but I’m also discovering that everything like this is expensive so there’s that. I really like the flavoring on these. The nacho is my favorite. I will say that the almond flour base as opposed to the corn base makes a bigger difference with the taste than I expected. I don’t like it quite as much as regular Doritos, but it is just an adjustment I have to make. Otherwise they have the same texture and crunch as Doritos. Really good!
