Useless: Sold with broken Charge Clip (Battery)
This item arrived while i was away on biz so the review is late.Charges via the battery clip. The headphones have no charging port of their own. The charging clip had corrosion spread from one of the leads into the vents at the cable end of the unit. When trying to charge it did not work. I tried to scrub it with a toothbrush and the copper lead slipped right out. The headphones are therefore useless unless I purchase a new battery. Also makes me wonder why the didn’t choose a more functional design for connectors. They SHOULD have been made backwards compatible and the company SHOULD HalVE USED THE SAME PATTERN FOR THE LEADS. Ive had 4 other pairs of Jaybirds but none of the chargers work cause the pattern is different. That’s ridiculous. If they simply had the same pattern as the non battery clip used in previous versions I’d be in business. But then they wouldn’t make money on selling accessories. Ok Jaybird. I see how the clip on system could reduce broken leads but if the pegs deteriorate then it wont stay. Thats from experience. Obviously whatever this seller allowed selling the corroded battery is another matter. Still wonder what other designs and better or less obsolescence planning would be great. Jaybird is quick and particular about disavowing all previous versions of their headphones, unfortunately. You won’t even see them on the website. And they are barely mentioned or supported.Had enough charge to test the product itself. These are passive noise canceling. A function of the fit of the ear tips. Fortunately Comply foam creates an excellent seal so its sufficient to block out most noise pleasantly.Sound quality is positive but I won’t go in depth. Not $500 - $1000 excellent, but good. No static or weirdness. Decent bass and isolation makes sounds true.Good on moisture wicking with materials. I like the smooth matte finish on the headphones and the material of the cord also seemsgood for moisture wicking.I still like Jaybirds. Ive bought more of the brand than any other headphones including Bose, Shure, and other low tier or low visibility Chinese brands (most of this stuff is made somewhere over there anyway) which are coming up in quality, support and features in a big way. Check Phaiser.Bose Soundsport have the inner ear hooks attached to the sound tips so no Comply foam tips there. Lots of noise.Phaisers are actually great. Sound quality is not the best but decent especially with included foam tips and for price ( you get every accessory that comes with any other sport headphones including cable management for back of head, shirt clips, foam tips). They also have magnetic clips for connecting the heads together around your neck when not in use. The new Jaybird Tara finally have this feature. So I'll continue to try Jaybirds due to aesthetic, sound quality, comfort, fit, availability of accessories, and mainly cause design is still a cut above others that make good functional copies of current trends but don't do the same ergonomic research. They partner with athletes, keep the size down, and they feel good. but I will spend less money on them or use backups as other brands step up their game.

I had X2's and returned those to buy these...wow. The MySound app is a little buggy in consistently pairing with the headphones but the EQ changes are incredible and customizing sound to your preference is a game changer. The fit is also more secure with an additional fourth set of wing tips that work for my ears very well and the comply tips keep these secure. Overall these look, feel and sound incredible well worth the $100 price for open box

These are better than most wireless earbuds
These are better than most wireless earbuds, but that doesn't say much. These took forever to sync to my phone and to start playing music, especially if synced to multiple devices. Sound quality was less than $25 department store wired earbuds. Poor battery life. You have to be careful to make sure that they are fully turned off when not listening to music to make the battery last through a whole day. Turning off could be easier. When jogging/running, there was not a huge improvement over wired earbuds. Still lots of noise from any head or neck movement. Overall, not worth the effort and I sent them back and still use my wired headphones.

Very pretty, but impractical
Pros- it's pretty, sound is really nice, just looks nice all around. Works well for the elliptical or bike.Cons- always falling out! Even with putting them over my ears, it's tighter, but pops out sometimes. The controls are heavy and the chord always shifts to that side.If I could return them, I would, and get something meant for runners.

One bud stopped working 3 months in :-/ Bummed.
UPDATE: Upon seeing this poor review, Jaybird customer service contacted me and attempted to remedy the situation by upholding their company policy on replacements. If I had multiple pairs of working earbuds, this might be okay, but I don't. At $100 a pop, I don't have a back-up pair here. Their policy is to only mail a replacement upon receipt of either the broken pair or a photo of your earbuds physically cut apart (so they cannot work anymore). While I can certainly understand why they might have such a policy, it's very unfriendly and also impersonal. I expressed my issue with doing this to their customer service rep multiple times to no avail. I have massive problems sleeping, and the single earbud on my pair that does work, well, it's what I can use to listen to something to fall asleep at night. So, if I cut the cord and am waiting several days for new ones, well, that's several days without the guarantee I'll fall asleep okay. Look, I realize this all sound waah waah and personal... but it's my situation. It would have been pretty cool for the company to have a heart for a moment and send the buds and trust that I'd send back a photo of both the new, working pair and my cut up half-broken pair. But nope.Well, policies are policies, and in this case, people aren't of much concern to this company. Shame, since a lot of folks were asking me what buds I'm wearing and also if I recommended them... which I can say now that I do not.----About 3 months into owning these, the right earbud just flat out stopped working. It seems to be a wiring issue since if I try really hard and mess with it, sometimes it spots back on for a second, but it doesn't stay back on. Super disappointing for $100 earbuds. I'm sure I can deal with the warranty on them, but, again for $100 they shouldn't just half die 3 months in with normal use - and the time it'll take me to deal with a warranty claim is a major PITA. I'm super annoyed because I want these to work now that I finally figured out how to get them to feel comfortable in my ears, I don't want to get another brand, but I'm torn :-/
