Vintage Italian horror films
Very clear and sharp pictures. The color movie and tv series was also crystal-clear. Liked reading the booklet. The box package holding contents was well put together.

Christopher Lee Gets His Due
This collection is massive. It is the best. Get it before the vultures do and charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Fabulous
Truth be told, i originally tried to purchase this release through Amazon but it took forever to get it so I went to the source and I finally got it and as it took several months to go through the entire box, I feel i want to share my thoughts to all Amazon customers. Click the add to cart button because you have a treasure trove of films, archival videos and interviews of the last of the golden age of Horror icons. First of all, it baffles me that all of these historians and critics of classic horror are sniping about the films and quality of the selections. Do they not understand that over a decade ago,. three of the films included hereinwere only available in wretched, washed out transfers and inept translations of dialogue? When were we able to see a gorgeous transfer of Director Terence Fishers 'Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Necklace' no matter what you think of the embellishment, Director Carmillo Mastrocinques's "Crypt of the Vampire' which the transfer elevates the film to classic status and the most defecated on film of the bunch. Director Harold Reinal's unfortunately titled fairy tale gothic 'Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism' restored to its glorious sumptuous color and presented after all these years as the classic that it is . Shame on all of those who have stated that the Polish television series 'Theatre Macabre' is not up to par with HD standards of quality. You should be thankful that Severin Films have painstakingly transferred this rare series to Blu-Ray for all to view for its positives or faults. I did not forget 'Challenge for the Devil' and 'Castle of the Walking Dead' which are presented in incredible transfers that blew up my monitor with their crystal clear glories. Bravo Severin Films for preserving not only the Euro films of Sir Christopher Lee but also his beautiful singing voice and archival interviews in the bonus disc . Ignore the ignorant talking heads and supposed Horror historians, if you are a true Golden age Horror fan, you will embrace this release and enjoy it for the treasure chest that it truly is. Bravo Severin Films for your dedication for preserving these timeless gems, it emerges as a wonderful tribute to a Horror actor surviving and coping with immediate super star status in the mid Sixties which honed his craft. You are missed , Chris,

🔥💀 Severin's superb set showcasing Christopher Lee! 💀🔥
An absolute treasure trove of Christopher Lee rarities! Severin films knocked it out of the park with this one. I received mine from Severin yesterday, as I pre-ordered the set. The polish horror series is my favorite part of the set. If your on the fence about purchasing this wonderful set, don't be. Hours and hours of quality entertainment awaits you!

An Interesting set of mostly so-so films.
As to this set having the rare films of Christopher Lee, that's true. But as my wife says "those films are rare for a reason. They're not all that good. The prints are mostly very good and it's nice to see something besides the usual fare of Chris Lee films. But the disc titled "Relics From The Crypt" is the best of all and worth the price of the set. Just to hear Lee sing the operatic "O Solo Mia" is worth it for me. He has a fine baritone voice. He's good.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT TO ANYONES CHRISTOPHER LEE COLLECTION A MUST
I am still working my way through this Blu Ray Box Set - the only downside of it is Crypt of the Vampire will not play on a UK Blu Ray player - however i was aware of this before purchase and i have it on DVD.The best thing about this set is the show Theatre Macabre which Christopher Lee hosts at the beginning and end , his appearance speaking English is superb and within keeping of how spooky Christopher Lee wants his memory kept. There are 24 episodes in the double blu ray (26 episodes were meant to be made but 2 are lost) , the stories are badly dubbed from Polish to English but their are additional subtitles , however it did not put me off watching them , they are based on famous writers and not so famous writers stories including Edgar Alan Poe , Robert Louis Stevenson etc , i would not say they are horror but some are really interesting and at 25 mins an episode you havent got chance to be bored.Challenge the Devil a very sort after Christopher Lee film which i found out is actually "Catharsis" a horror film which i have been after for years , its good to have in my collection but it is actually a terrible film. The Torture Chamber of Dr Sadism - known under a string of different titles - in my DVD collection it is Castle of the Walking Dead (not to be confused with Castle of the Living Dead which is also in this collection) well The Torture Chamber is not a bad film based loosely around the Marquis De Sade but the thing with the Blu Ray it has been completely cleaned up (my DVD is awfully grainy) and it was an absolute pleasure to watch.Sherlock Holmes and The Deadly Necklace was nice to have in the set and so was the CD and Booklet - which i still have to read.Because of the quality of the contents it was worth the money i paid for it and would happy recommend it to serious Horror / Christopher Lee collectors.

Excellent package with plenty of interesting extras
A lovely package contains a number of hard to find in the Anglophone world Lee films but the real positive here is the extras, hours of joyful material. Also discs are region free and so should play on just about any player anywhere. I certainly recommend this to anyone with an interest in the films of Christopher Lee or exploitation films from Europe from 1950 through to 1970.

Fantastic Set - Usual Damage
This is a superb set and any fan of Christopher Lee owes it to themselves to purchase it. However, as it comes from the US expect the corners to be bashed in as it was just packed in an oversized jiffy bag rather than tightly packed in a box. Not worth sending it back but do expect some cosmetic damage to the outer packaging.

Excellent box set
A great box set well put together and overview of some of Lee's more obobscure work. Bit pricey but it is an import and unfortunately not available in the uk . But worth it.
