Update a few months after my original reviewOne star, zero if I could. The machine completely stopped working a little over a month ago. I followed troubleshooting available online before emailing customer service. After a few emails exchanged with what was clearly an AI customer service rep, I got a human reponse. The human wasn’t anymore helpful than the AI and a lot slower to respond. A month later and there is no resolution whatsoever. Each reply from the human asked me to try yet one more trouble shooting suggestion, then asked for proof of purchase, then asked me to make drastic changes to my WiFi, then asked me for a video of the machine not working so that they could SEND ME PARTS to repair it myself.So, a product that completely breaks after a few months and laughably terrible customer service. It’s really frustrating too because this product made life a lot easier for us and our dog. Oh well…Five stars based on a few things:1. It works. It feeds my dog on time, every time and set up was a breeze, including syncing with the app and creating a feeding schedule. The feeding schedule was a little tricky to figure out because it dispenses in units of 1/12 of a cup and I am terrible at math :) But once I figured that out, easy-peasy. I like that you can skip feedings or do one off feedings with just a few taps.2. The feeder communicates well with the app, as far as I can tell. I get alerts when his food his low, when the desiccant bag needs replacing, if the machine gets kicked offline, and if there is something stuck in the dispenser (this has happened once, with a piece of odd shaped kibble).3. It "fits" the kibble we feed our dog. I was worried the dispenser wouldn't be wide enough, but aside from one piece of kibble that was odd shaped, we've had no problems. For reference, he eats Purina one chicken and rice formula.I decided to try this when my husband found out he would be traveling for a bit and we needed a way to feed our dog lunch on the days I was working in the office. It's positively changed our routine in terms of other feedings, too. It used to be that our dog would whine for food outside our bedroom door starting around 5:30 am every morning. We tried everything to break him of this, but no luck. I set the schedule so that he gets one half of his breakfast at 4:45 am and the other half at 6:00 am. This has worked like a dream. Now, I usually have to wake him in the mornings when I get up, around 6:45 / 7:00 am. The food dispenser is relatively quiet and we keep it by our backdoor. So, I don't hear it when it goes off in the morning but my dog does. One nice, unexpected side effect is that it keeps him from inhaling his food because it dispenses slowly. If helpful to anyone: my dog is a med to large, about 60 lbs., lab/retriever mix.We haven't tried using the audio function so I can't comment on that (I noticed a few reviews said it doesn't work). I think the true test will be how long it lasts. I've had it almost 2 months and so far, so good, but I'm really hoping it lasts us a good long while. In the meantime, very pleased and recommend this to others.

I have owned this product for over a year and have been so fed up with it lately that I'm writing a review.When it works, the feeder is good.The problem that I have had, often, is that the feeder loses its wifi connection and it is hit or miss on whether I can set it back up. . .at least until it decides it wants to reconnect. This is the only wifi-enabled device in my home, among many, that has that issue.The whole point for me to purchase a wifi enabled cat feeder is to be able to manually feed my cat when I'm not home to do it in person. I cannot trust this machine to do that. As such, it does not fulfill the purpose for the purchase.

The feeder was working consistently, and I was satisfied with it for the first few months that I was using it then I went out of town and unplugged the feeder so it wouldn’t overflow while me and my pet were away when I came back and plugged the feeder back in it was completely unresponsive. I’ve tried resetting it unplugging it and re-plugging it back in and nothing seems to work. I do not recommend this feeder.

This feeder started beeping for no reason. I cleaned it, there was no jam, everything installed correctly. I reached out for warranty support. They told me I have to have a video of it beeping. I told them that was unrealistic because it beeps at random times. They would not help me unless I was able to supply a video. I cannot set my phone all day waiting for a random beep. They also kept charging my account and sending me the desiccant bags even though I didn’t have a subscription. They are not helping with that return either. Amazon has integrity and is making this right for me but I would not recommend to purchase this.

The app is absolutely terrible. Set up took an hour because the app wouldn’t load and kept disconnecting. I have only had this feeder for four hours and it’s already completely disconnected from the WiFi for no reason. In order to reconnect I had to reset the device manually and then reconnect everything in the terrible app. The app is also not intuitive and if you enter you have two cats it dispenses double the amount of food you selected. I find it extremely suspicious that Wirecutter recommends such a terrible glitchy product. The sound of the food being dispensed into the bowl is incredibly loud. When the app does actually load and work it is close to unusable due to pestering you to pay for some subscription constantly.

Originally when I had this feeder it worked super well but then after 6 months of use it literally broke; and I was unable to use it. It would not reconnect back to Wi-Fi no matter what I did, so it was essentially useless. It was working fine one day and then completely stopped the next. My poor pet went without food for a day or two until I discovered it wasn't working. Customer service had a lot of different methods of troubleshooting methods but nothing they suggested fixed the problem. I also had batteries installed in the device as a backup and that didn't work either. It was extremely frustrating to have a device this expensive fail on you within 6 months of ownership. And one of the methods suggested by customer service I couldn't even try; because it required a separate device in order to record video to get them to send a replacement product. I wish they would just get rid of this product as failure within 6 months of ownership is a sign of poor quality product

Piece of s** of a feeder. It keeps disconnecting from the wifi/app. Reset it several times and re-added device to the app and still fails constantly. I needed it to ensure the cat will have food when we are away but it’s absolutely useless and will NOT dispense food at scheduled times (even though it allegedly would even when disconnected from wifi). Even when I connected it dispenses different amounts, super random. Do not waste your money on this.

This thing works. You can time your pet's feed and automate it and everything fancy.YOU DON'T control the product though. PETLIBRO does. Full stop. You ARE the product.When you connect this, you can't just "set it and forget it." In order to connect this, you have to create a network, like all other devices at home (cameras etc) just to get it to dispense food. The real problem lies in the fact that to simply have this feeder work, it is connected to an online server and more often than not, that server has been going down.... so it won't connect to the internet to their server to simply feed your pet. They do this deliberately, so that the app reminds you of new petlibro products, and to refill "dessicant packs" that don't make sense since you have to refill the food either way. They are collecting date on your pet and feeding habits etc; and somehow this is under the guise of convenience until you realize that every single feed is processed through a server. Today, that server is down. I've been through it before. The first time this happened, I changed my password and spent over an hour trying to reconnect that device only to learn that it's a server thing.This device will teach you just how much YOU are the product. Until they eliminate this absolute necessity for having to program everything through a dependent server, I will always vouch against the product.It's been 24 hrs and it's not functioning because their server is down... not because it physically doesn't work.It's a food dispenser. This simply could be made to not be so complicated... but they dictate the owners now.Shame on you Petlibro.

Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years.Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

Je l'utilise dans un appartement de 70m2 environ pour un seul chat, qui l'entend avant moi et se précipite en courant pour regarder les croquettes tomber dans la gamelle.L'application pour programmer la gamelle est simple à utiliser (j'ai la fibre), la gamelle se nettoie facilement et ça me fait un souci en moins à gérer lorsque je suis toute la journée au travail.Le seul petit inconvénient c'est que j'aimerais pouvoir réduire la portion car même au minimum cela fait beaucoup. Mon chat se régule et n'a pas pris de poids, je le trouve même moins glouton qu'avant, comme s'il savait que de toute façon sa gamelle se déclenche trois fois par jours.

El alimentador llegó en muy buenas condiciones y en tiempo. El producto es bueno. Es fácil de lavar, fácil de instalar y fácil de programar. Ya funcionando, trabaja sin problema alguno. Tiene opción de alimentación programada o manual a través de la app o desde el alimentador. Envía alertas programadas. En mi caso lo utilizo para mi gatita. Específicamente para control de alimentación y peso porque está esterilizada.Desde el punto de vista de mejora, al comprar nosotros croquetas pellet de 5mm, el peso del alimento que dispensa es de 15g por lo que (por indicaciones) solo podemos darle 65g al día. Esos 5g faltantes terminó dándoselos en algún momento del día, pero si me gustaría que para el aparato vendieran aparte un dosificador para comida y snacks, es decir que pudiera dispensar 5g y 10g y 15g para pellets de 5mm ya que con eso puedo darle alimento en el transcurso del día en pequeñas cantidades para controlar mejor su apetito. Fuera de eso, el aparato es un 10/10.
