Rogue Photographic Design FlashBender 2 XL Pro Super Soft Silver Reflector, Black/Silver (ROGUEXLSLVR2)

I own a large size Rogue FlashBender that I use nearly everyday for work. I was looking to use the XL for home and personal use, and taking head shots for actors and performing artists for their audition work. The XL is really quite large, not really suited for "run and gun" type of work that news photography requires. But it is quite perfect for more controlled environments like studio work, or outdoor "fashion" shoots where you can create more control over the environment. So for more informal settings (fammily stuff, parties, candids, etc..) and my news work, I use the Large FlashBender and for modeling or fashion or corporate portrait work I like the XL better.

I wish that I had bought this a long time ago... it's great. I cannot afford a fancy flash setup so I thought I would try this, and I love it... it stays in camera bag all the time. A great solution for portrait photography or any flash photography for that matter.

I gave my first product to my second and third shooters. We’ve been shooting weddings for about 12 years now. I don’t know where I’d do without it! They are incredibly versatile. I’m able to bend my flash to where I need it. You will not regret it!

Much improved over the prior version. I have been a long time user of the Rogue Flash Difussers and ordered this because I thought I lost one of my other copies (I found it). The reason I thought I lost it is because the older version falls off unless you have some Velcro or something similar to ensure the Rogue doesn't fall off. I use an Arca Swiss L-Bracket combined with an R-strap and often the camera/flash is upside down causing the diffuser to fall off.The reason I thought I lost it at a wedding is because it fell off but I later found it a few days later but after I ordered this model. Time will determine if the upgrade holds up but it appears the new strap is not only a good upgrade but is made of material that will hold up from use under heavy/constant use.

I have used the older version for a couple of years now. The new design is awesome! It straps on tighter and never falls down the flash unit, something that would happen with the older design. Also, they have made it significantly lighter so it puts less strain on the flash head. Great product for use in my wedding photography.

Very useful in softening the flash especially when you do not have a low ceiling to bounce off the light.

Nice product. I like it for what it is, which is an on-camera flash modifier and that's about it. Once you bend it into a proper position it does get smaller than it looks in the photos. It's OK, but that's it, when used as a main light source with on-camera flash. But used with on-camera flash as fill light is quite effective.

Heard of this tool from another photographer. Its light weight and easy to use. Only thing, debating if I shoulda gone with the Larger version for $5 more. This unit is compact and doesn't seem to "in your face " when using it at events though. It depends on the environment you are shooting but I like the versatility of this. Very cool invention

These are amazing . Used these for photographing a room and 2 speedlights did the trick no problem, just positioned either side with 2 of these bouncing some flash straight up and some forward, very good spread of light.Its only a small area but does the job very well of throwing light forward its still many times larger than your flash head so better than could be expected for just the flash pointing forward.UPDATE' Used this on a shoot this weekend in a hotel photographing rooms. Have to say these were brilliant, used two on stands with two speedlites and I could shoot at F11 at 400iso. which is good given the distance sometimes.

Have used this reflector outdoors on a sunny day to diffuse sunlight, worked beautifully.

Very convenient to avoid sending direct light to your subject when using rebounded light, in order to obtain a very natural look in your indoor photographs. The only invovenient is that it is not so easy to fold and transport.

Small bender- but does just the job when I am shooting on location around Old Compton Street in London, They also do Massive Benders and large Benders and all come with strap ons.
