It consists of 12 smooth beechwood beads in progressively larger sizes, each with a clearly printed number and colour coding for quick identification. The beads come threaded on a cord and the set includes a fabric storage pouch for protection during transport or storage between uses.The bead sizes seem appropriate and the printed numbers are easy to read. The colour coding makes it easy to find the correct section at a glance instead of having to read every bead individually. Having a physical model is a much more effective tool for learning than looking at diagrams or photos, especially when teaching. The wood has a very smooth finish with no splinters or rough spots, and it's easy enough to wipe clean. the included pouch is a nice addition that should help keep everything protected between lessons or while travelling.The only thing that stands out is the cord. It doesn't feel as durable as a wire would, although for the intended use I don't think it's likely to be a problem. The beads slide well and the cord seems appropriately durable for a teaching tool, but I do think a wire would inspire a little more confidence over the long term.Overall, this is a well-made teaching aid that is effective, easy to use and nicely finished. The smooth wood, clear numbering and colour coding make it practical in real use, and the storage pouch is a worthwhile inclusion. At $24 this is a good value for the money.

The Medarchitect Wooden Prader Orchidometer arrived in a 5-7/8" x 4-1/2" black fabric bag with a drawstring closure. Both were in a sturdy white cardboard box.The wood beads are oval shaped and very light. They are threaded on a woven red cord fastened with a simple knot. Each has a black number printed in black ink, but the numbers are not consecutive after the first six and jump by 2 or 5 as the beads get larger.As a woodworker, I was interested in the craftmanship, which is very good. The individual oval beads are symmetrical and sanded smooth, with a nice painted surface. As a medical device, I have a new urologist that I plan on gifting them to.

These wooden prader ochidomter are well made from painted beech wood sized shapes. Each shape has it’s size and color. An accurate size and shape to make measurements. Easy to use and very easy to clean. They effectively.provide easy to compare sizes, accurately. The set comes with a small draw string bag for storage and transport. An effective tool. This set is a good value.
