Volkswagen RNS 315 v.V9 Map Update - SD Card

Speed limit information for an interstate by my house is still not up to date. Local neighborhoods that have been around for at least 2 years are also missing on this updated software.

Ordered this product for my 2103 Volkswagen CC Sport Plus, the item showed up in a timely fashion and exactly as described. You will have to refer to the navigation manual that came with the car to be directed on what to do with the chip. Pretty simple really, i put it in the SD card slot that is on the left side of the radio, went to the navigation database and selected to download new version. The download did take about 2.5 hrs so i would suggest doing it somewhere like at home because you will want to have the car running the whole time. Its nice that everything is on one SD card instead of having to load 4-5 different CDs like i have had to do on a Nissan.

This is NOT worth the money. I updated my system and the maps are STILL outdated. When following the navigation system, the map shows you going in one direction while the voice directs you in the opposite direction. The voice navigation is usually correct. I am currently considering rolling back my system to the previous version. I am very disappointed in this update. Garmin updates are close to half the price of this update and are usually current. What was Volkswagen thinking when this is the only update for their vehicle?!?!

dont love it but its much better than the older version , I dont think it was worth the $100 my google maps sems to work better

Installation went great. It just takes a long time to load. Nothing changed in the area I am in now, just have to check it out on the next road trip
