ZELUS Weighted Vest for Men Women,Adjustable 4-32lb Vest, Removable Weights

I bought the 4-10 pound vest because it looked comfortable and easy to use and looked like the best value for the price. It is comfortable to wear if I just use it for exercising. If I use it for other stuff it strains my back probably because I tried bending and it put an uneven load on my body. But with walking it is just fine. It has adjustable straps to adjust the fit. I am using all of the weights so I am building up the number of steps I wear it during walking.

Update 7.13.25 I am upping the stars to 5 as it's not their fault i have a hard time seeing the clips, that is just me. The vest does exactly what it is designed for. I wish I'd gotten the heavier one so I could use it to work my way up to a heavier weight. I underestimated how much I could put on at once, but I still get great benefit from this one. I bought this vest to "up" my walking game. I walk 10,000 steps a day with 1/2 hr of aerobics. However, I wanted to "up" my game in terms of aerobic benefit, and this had delivered nicely as it raises my heart rate without a lot of additional effort. I can very lightly jog in place to get just where I want to be. I got this also because I like the option to start lower and move up. It turns out though I didn't need that, but still I was glad to have it. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the heavier option to start with but, live and learn, this works for me now so I'll stick with it. The only thing I don't like about it so far is the clips are black both male and female parts so it makes it difficult for me visually when lining them up to click in place while angling the vest to reach them. This is just me though, I am sure. There is the chemical smell that others have mentioned but I expected it and it does seem to have lessened after a few days. In terms of "comfort", well, it doesn't chafe or cut into me so I it has enough padding, that's about all I can say. And if I don't wear a shirt it stays in place thanks to the rubber coating on the inside of the straps. I am very happy with it for now, I took a star off because of the smell and not being able to see easily to join the clips, but those are relatively minor problems in my opinion.

This vest is not perfect, but the Goldilocks for me. I got the 4-10 lb one. I tried 4 vests (adjustable and fixed weight options) before I settled on this one. I am thin with neck and low back issues. The others caused pain- too heavy, unbalanced, uncomfortable, breast crushers, too hot, etc. Pros: Made well. Attractive adjustable weight option that doesn’t look like a SWAT or tactical vest. Option to add weight as I gain strength. Fits my frame pretty well with the side straps at their tightest setting. Not a complete chest squisher. Should be easier to clean since the weight packs are removable. The cons: Shoulders aren’t very well padded, so not very comfortable for longer walks/workouts. I think the shoulder is just 2 layers of thick neoprene, with a small possibility of a thin pad in between. Shoulder strap length is not adjustable for different heights/body sizes. It’s awkward to lift over my head. I would prefer it as a zip-front style. The photo shows the shoulder strap thickness from the side.

I looked at many vests before deciding on this one; the fact that I could adjust the weight was a big selling point for me. I had done some minimal rucking and thought a vest would be good. I read other reviews on this product and I agree that it does have a bit of an unpleasant odor when it is first unpacked. Not overpowering, but definitely present for days.... HOWEVER, the smell did not transfer to my clothes - so big win for that. I got this vest a couple of weeks ago and have used it nearly every day for walking. My first time, I used all the weights (so a total of 20 pounds). After about 1.5 miles, my shoulders were hurting. After I took it off, my shoulders had red marks where the vest was sitting. For my second use, I took off 5 pounds (two of the little weighted bags) and it was definitely better. No red marks, so I guess the original 20 pounds was just too heavy for me? My shoulders and body ached a bit for several days (not unbearable) but I am pleased to say that a couple of weeks later, I am still at the 15 pound level, and can wear it comfortably now for up to 4 miles (I could probably wear it longer, just haven't done so yet). I was surprised that I was/am sore in the places I was (a little bit in legs and core) - so I guess it is doing something good for me. I definitely feel I am "working harder" when I walk with the vest - heart beats harder/faster, I can feel it pretty much everywhere, and have find myself sweating. So overall, after getting myself use to it, and experimenting to find the right weight for me, I am glad I purchased this vest! Though it does look like I am wearing a bullet proof vest on my walks....

I am very glad that I did not pass this up because of the negative reviews. I did a lot of research before buying this vest and I am confident I made a good decision. There was a faint smell when I first opened it but it went away. I don't know if some vests smell more than others or if some people are just sensitive but I barely noticed the smell and it did not transfer to my clothes. Having the ability to adjust the weights is great but I've maxed out the weight so that isn't a big plus for me anymore. It is pretty comfortable considering it weighs 32 pounds. It fits very well and does not move around (I'm 6 feet and 210 pounds). It is a bit challenging to put on and take off because it does weigh 32 pounds (but it is hard to blame the vest for that). I've had no issues with leakage of the sand. A big plus is that you can store your phone and keys in the front (many competing products have the storage in the back). If I wanted to find something to be critical about, it would be that maybe offering other colors would be nice...I live in Arizona and yes, I walk in the heat with it and black is probably not the best color although it may not make much difference.

Amazing!! Love that you can add or take weight off. It does slip off my shoulders a bit which van get a little annoying, but over all its a great purchase!!

Vest works fine, but the description was misleading. The description said, "ZELUS Weighted Vest for Men Women,Adjustable 4-32lb Vest, Removable Weights" I bought this one over others I was looking at specifically because it indicates that it goes from 4 to 32 pounds and I wouldn't have to keep buying new vests every time I needed to move up the weight range. In fact, the vest only goes from 4-10 lbs. There is another that goes from 11-20 and a third that goes from 20-32. So I will have to buy new vests. This wouldn't be a problem if it were made clear, but describing it as a 4-32 lb vest is clearly inaccurate. I'm keeping it because it works fine. The weights are easy to put in and remove. It did have a nasty chemical smell, but that dissipated in under an hour. It's a bit loose on me, even when tightened, but I'm small (5'6" 120 lbs). The weight distribution seems good. I haven't tried jogging with it, but it's fine when walking, doing exercises like squats or going about my daily business around the house. (My Dr. recommended I get a weighted vest for this around the house use.) All in all it's fine and I'm keeping it.

I am really pleased with this weight vest. I like how I can change the weight. Makes it easy for everyone in the family to use it. I am ready for one that weighs more at this point but this will still be useful while weight training etc. It's pretty comfortable, but until you get used to it, it can press down on your shoulders and neck a bit and become uncomfortable if you have it on for long periods. I'm pretty petite though so maybe less of an issue for others. I saw a lot of complaints about the smell. While it does have a strongish smell when I first got it, I didn't find it bothersome. I was wary because I am super scent sensitive. It smells like new tires or new heavy gym mats and I don't mind that smell so it doesn't bother me. I wear it on walks and the smell was gone in a couple weeks, I'd say. Another concern someone else had mentioned it that it can't be thrown in the wash because the base weight of the vest is 4lbs. That's true. Also doesn't bother me. It's only me wearing it (so far) and I supposed you could spot wash, or dunk it in soapy water and let thoroughly dry and it would be fine. That all being said, I would recommend this vest and plan to buy another of a different weight.

This vest is effective, and comfort. The embedded weight sits higher, making movement easier that vests that are weighted lower. The smell right out of the box was very subtle and dissipating quickly. No complaints there. Mostly, it is very cool to wear. I had another vest that I couldn't use in summer. This one, I can. Handy, adjustable fastex buckles on the sides are excellent. I can snug over a t-shirt, or over a jacket. The vest is slim enough to wear under a winter jacket. Overall, great value, and versatility with added weight bags. Don't hesitate.
