Here's a step-by-step guide to finding your cervix: Wait till before or after your menstruation, as you cervix will be more easily reached. Wash your hands thoroughly, including underneath your fingernails. Squat down or lift one leg up on the toilet seat. With your palm facing up, guide your longest finger carefully into your vagina. Feel for a round, raised circle with a dimple in the middle — it’s most likely to be at the top of the front vaginal wall (closer to your belly button than to your back)

I have a heavy flow but i’m very small, to the point super tampons hurt to get in and out. how would the mini hold up? would i have to change it more?

Unfortunately, I have no experience with the mini. I would consider myself heavy flow and petite (5'2") and I did get size A. On my heaviest days I would have to change it every 1-2 hours. It's pretty soft and easy to put in and out so I didn't have that much problem with changing often. I would recommend trying out size A first and see if you need a bigger cup for your heavier days (that's what I ended up doing, but I still use this on days 3 onwards).

For someone who has never used a cup would you chose his or the saalt cup if you have used it?

I've never used any other brand, so I couldn't say. I HIGHLY recommend using Organicup. The website is very helpful and I haven't had a problem yet.
