The Installation I wired this bad boy up (remember to flip the breaker, folks, though I’m pretty sure the sheer aura of this motor would have grounded the electricity itself). I flipped the 7.5 MFD capacitor into place, bolted down the fan blade, and restored power. The Awakening WHOOOOOOOOOOSH. The second this 1075 RPM beast kicked on, the atmospheric pressure in my entire neighborhood dropped. Birds stopped flying to admire the sheer, balanced symmetry of the airflow. Leaves were pulled into the vortex. The heat pump didn't just reject heat—it violently evicted thermal energy into the next realm. good replacement

Really pleased with this product. Appears to be made by U.S. Motors Co. , so historically , this has been one of the better engineered motors. Manufactured to include direct replacement for the Rheem proprietary ( horizontal small screws mounting ) designed motor mounting. Also includes reversible rotation ( wires w/ insulated terminals ) , and a dedicated appropriate capacitor ( properly rated mf ) included in motor box. Everything you need!

I Installed this on an OLD RUUD R22 2.5-ton unit. The motor comes with a 440/10 cap and my old motor used a 370/5 multi CAP. the fan blade fit perfectly, and the motor mounting points fit fine though the bolts were a bit smaller, (motor came with nuts to fit). The shaft was too long, so I had to cut of the unwanted length with grinder and cutting blade. There is no trick to the wiring, Brown and Brown/White go to the New CAP and black and white to L1 and L2. The small connectors at the top are only for direction change if required. Even though this motor has a higher RPM, I am not sure if the unit is performing better or worse because it took 4.5 hours to cool from 85 to 77. Note: the black and white wires do not have plugs to connect to the contactor, so I cut the wireless with plugs from the old motor and used twist wire connectors being I do not have these connectors or a crimper.

Everything was just as presented! Installed the motor and it’s working perfectly. Would highly recommend this product.
