I flipped the 7.5 MFD capacitor into place, bolted down the fan blade, and restored power. The Awakening WHOOOOOOOOOOSH. Everything was just as presented! Installed the motor and it’s working perfectly. Would highly recommend this product.

good replacement

If you are a DIYer like me, make sure all ratings match to the motor in your unit currently. This motor has a higher amp rating compared to the one in my unit. It installed all fine hardware-wise, but when I powered the unit, the fan came on but the compressor didn’t. When I did more research, looks like the extra amps drawn by the motor did not leave enough for the compressor. The most important ratings to match are the rpm, amps and volts. The capacitor value is important as well, but if that varies from your current capacitor, you can always buy another capacitor and install it separately for the fan.

Replacing the motor isn't that hard and will save you a ton of money. I had no trouble.

Really pleased with this product. Appears to be made by U.S. Motors Co. , so historically , this has been one of the better engineered motors. Manufactured to include direct replacement for the Rheem proprietary ( horizontal small screws mounting ) designed motor mounting. Also includes reversible rotation ( wires w/ insulated terminals ) , and a dedicated appropriate capacitor ( properly rated mf ) included in motor box. Everything you need!
