My friend is a huge Tom Hanks fan & loves the book. She keeps it on her coffee table!

Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, and part of the reason I admire him is because of his integrity, purported kindness, and humor.This little book is fun to thumb through a few moments at a time, It is the personification of a positive outlook.I don't think "Everything I learned in Life I Learned from Tom Hanks," but there's plenty to glean from the many quotes in the book.,I would NOT call it an Unauthorized Biography. it is not a biography / story ot Tom's life.But, you can certainly discern what makes a person "tick" by listening to them talk, and I'd say he must be a pretty great guy judging from this collection of quotes.I'm sure he doesn't consider himself a philosopher or lifestyle coach - he's just being himself.As to the design of the book, I found it slightly annoying. The design is too "busy." The the overly busy design and rainbow of background colors makes it hard to read at times - the print disappears on the page. It seems to have been thrown together fast, possibly designed to be an impulse buy to capitalize on Hank's popularity.As such, it is diverting but not destined to become a permanent part of my library. It's more of a reading "snack" or a bit of fluff!

I grew up watching Tom Hanks and I love him as an actor. I did not know much of his off-camera life and quotes, how well regarded he is by his peers and others who see what an upstanding person he is on a personal levels. Tom's beliefs and quotes can give us something to think about as we read his quotes and the quotes of others who have spent time with him. I love this book for the focus on values and some really good keys to living a better life, ones that each person would have control over if one is interested in being the kind of person he is.Broken into 25 topics of 4-6 pages each, it makes for a very easy and welcoming reading. Most sections start with quotes from others followed by a nice description of the topic followed lastly by quotes from Tom himself. Many I found very thought provoking. He sounds like a very likable person whom would be fun to know because of his kindness and work ethic and what he does to have a healthy lifestyle. The book is nicely designed, each topic a rotating page color which is laid out in a way which makes it very inviting to read.This is listed as an unauthorized Biography but if Tom Hanks himself were to read it, I hope he can see the value others can gain by using his values, quotes and actions to illustrate some excellent points to consider in life. I found this an enlightening book, written creatively and not long drawn out chapters, but right to the point to illustrate those things in life to be cognoscente of and how we might consider living our lives.I highly recommend this book. It is an easy read and thought provoking. Good for oneself and to gift to others. Even after I finished reading it, I am continuing to tihnk about. That to me is a good book.⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, poorly written or bad information.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - Good Book. Not for me. Not the most well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Very good book quite, I would recommend and well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Book that I totally recommend and could not put down. Well written and a book I would read again

I have always appreciated quotes that make an impact and that I can return to reflect upon over time. This book is full of these. As you can tell from the Contents, every subject affects each one of us in a specific way, even with our varied backgrounds of how we were raised.This is not the type of book that I would sit down and read from front to back, but is good to read a few pages and ruminate on the value it presents. We often have friends up north that stay in our guest trailer and I am planning, once finished with it, to set it on our coffee table there, just as a fun book to pick up and reflect upon. I am thinking that this book may draw some interesting comments and I appreciate having it.

First, this is not what I’d consider a biography. It’s more a collection of anecdotes and quotes, from Tom Hanks and others, including from his movies. There are also narratives by the author. It isn’t a book to sit down and read all at once, but more to pick up and read a little, then put down, as it's an easy read. I think people who are Tom Hanks fans will enjoy it more than the average reader. I keep it in our guest bedroom, as I think guests will enjoy looking through it.
