Inappropriate for my setup
I thought I could give to my son on his 13th birthday. But it had too explicit information which isn't told or discussed openly in families or schools in UAE. Tried to rip out the explicit parts but that left behind nothing. So..not useful. Probably for other kind of family setups. Not appropriate for us.

Bit more detailed than I thought
So whilst this is a good book it is far more detailed in the sex education bit than I realised. As it was going to be a gift to my Grandson I will not be giving it as I think it would be better given to him by his parents...I think he would be very embarrassed if it came from his Nana . It is a good book..has detailed drawings (if you get my meaning in relation to above comments )and useful, relative information and I have given 5 stars , I think it would be a great book to have in an age appropriate school library... just not a gift from Grandparents.

Great book covering lots of relevant topics for preteens and teen boys and girls
Great book covering lots of important topics for preteens and teens. Schools where I live teach about periods, sex, contraception far too late. I'm not even sure what they teach the boys. I like that it includes respectful relationships, bullying and about anxiety and self esteem.

Great
Okay so I’m a single mom and have a teenage son. I didn’t really know what he needs to know or how to tell him things. He’s an only child as well. So I bought this book and gave it to him. I did have a little look before I gave it and it is all so educational and what teenage boys need to know. So if you struggle like I did - get the book. He found it helpful and it wasn’t awkward.

kudos to the author
I read this from cover to cover before giving it to my son - it's perfect. if you're worried about having 'the talk', or even if your kid is too embarrassed to ask questions about growing up, this will help. I had something similar growing up, and it's great to see a modern rendition equipped with enough helpful advice to ensure your young adults know enough to make informed decisions.
