What these aren't - So first, I'm not sure why people would think that these are earplugs. They clearly have a hole through them. What it helps is when the type of noise is more irritating than the noise level itself. If the noise level is loud (think airplane flight or construction right outside), people need active noise cancelling (ANC) earbuds (e.g. JBL Tune 230NC TWS) or over-ear headphones (e.g. Sony XM5). The standard ear plugs that sound isolate are a poor substitute, because those feel like you're underwater and can sometimes hear your own heartbeat through them - fine for sleeping or lounging, I guess, but not when going about the day. Actual review - These are excellent for reducing the impact of obnoxious-to-me noises like road noises, lawn mower, high pitched whines, etc. They're distant enough to be annoying (40 dB or so) but not from the noise perspective itself, though I do sometimes put in ANC earbuds. The noises become less grating, though can still be heard, which means that I can still play music from speakers. These still let your ears "breathe". Wearing actual earbuds all day are bad for your ears. For people these don't work for (and understand their purpose), I wonder if it's from people who like white and pink noise. I can't stand those high frequencies and prefer green or brown noise. Fit - If they're uncomfortable, they might either be the wrong size or be getting inserted incorrectly. The pull tab side goes towards the back of your ear, almost laying flat against it, and it gets inserted further in than the picture shows, so it's a pretty snug fit, as the bend matches up with where your ear bends. So, if you're looking at it, you're looking at the pull tab side, then inserting even with the ear canal and angling it in (tip shouldn't be scraping against the ear). Tinnitus - On tinnitus (no hearing loss), it minorly helps, but the tinnitus is definitely still there.

i usually use loops due to my noise sensitivity, but they cause occlusion and can be difficult for conversations due to the volume of my own voice. these don't have that issue, and work great in conversational settings like school or work. no clue why people think they're difficult to put on, just make sure the stem is on the back of your ear (away from your face), i personally shove em in DEEP and they're perfectly comfortable for 24/7 wear, including sleep. they help a ton for my ND sound sensitivity and preventing me from getting overwhelmed by sharp noises; i've notices my misophonia improve as well after a month of wear. i'm not sure if people without sound sensitivity are able to appreciate how miraculous these things are, but they're a necessity for me. having them and my loops in my bag lets me switch out earplugs depending on what i need at any given moment, and i can't suggest them enough for anyone who wants non-muffling but still calming earplugs.

These work similarly to a super cheap pair of foam earplugs, except they're less comfortable and more difficult to extract from your ears. In short, I sincerely regret falling for their gimicky marketing and wasting so much money on this useless product. Don't make the same mistake, good people.

It is only a slight difference in background noise for me. However, it did fit comfortable in my ear and I probably could sleep in them

I really like the sound quality I get from using them. I'm autistic, and I bought them to help reduce overstimulation in loud environments. When I wear them, I can still hear everything going on around me, but the quality of the sound is softer. I like that they don't show a lot when I wear them. However, they're a little too stiff (and maybe a little too big for my ears?) to be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The next size down of earplug is a lot smaller, so I think it would be too small for my ears. They're also pretty expensive for what is just two shaped pieces of silicone, even though they are super helpful.

Flare Nights specifically are my go to for one reason in particular- I cannot stand the sound of my own voice In My head and find that distracting while wearing earplugs- I can't talk to anyone or DO ANYTHING in the world with them ( the earplugs) still IN and would constantly have to be removing them (and therefore losing them. ) Just like having to stop my headphones to hear people speak to answer questions. As an autistic I CAN NOT focus on more than one stimulus at the same time and when forced to, this increases my processing time my frustration and irritability. Flare nights earplugs allow me to still hear what's going on in the world, NOT hear the echo of my own voice or the muffling of the world, instead the volume is just dialed down and the sensory overload doesn't creep in on me as quickly, it keeps the background in the background for me. I find that in order to notice the benefits you must wear them for a few days, the difference you feel when you notice taking them out and just WANTING to put them back in because the world is quieter. I take breaks but prefer my world with Flare Nights Earplugs in DAY and NIGHT. My only wish: WHY CANT YOU MAKE THE LANYARD AND COLOR LINES FOR NIGHTS? The calms do Nothing for me.

My ears ring 24/7. I don't mean they ring now and then. Or they ring quietly. They chirp. They squeal. They ring off the hook. Every minute of every day. And they've been doing this for seven years. Doctors tell me to learn to live with it. Nothing they can do. If I weren't so good at compartmentalizing I probably would have lost my mind by now. I'd heard Calmer from Flare might help. Did some research and also ordered a pair of the Loops. The Loops did nothing for me. Calmer however, gave me my first night's sleep without the tinnitus masking soundtrack I've had to play every night. Is it gone completely? No. Can I hear myself think? Absolutely. I see the Loops have a higher rating and I honestly can understand why. Unless maybe just aren't taking the time to learn how to insert these. I should also add (in case it's helpful for anyone) I have trouble keeping AirPods in my ears. I have no trouble with these. Even while sleeping. So maybe there's something in that for me with these vs. Loop. I'm ordering a daytime pair and another pair for night. Never wanna be without. Thank you Flare. Thank you.

They Fall out of my ears while wearing them. For instance, I was in the grocery checkout with a six month old screaming in front of us and behind us was someone with an electric scooter alarming; all of that all bothered me alot. Well, turns out one earpiece was just resting completely out of my ear canal. I have to adjust them alot and that is gross. They also make my ears sore, but I wear them a lot. Hard to hear some things, but they soften the sounds so things aren’t as painfully sharp. They seem to comfort me a bit, so I continue to use them.

Sadly these really do nothing, which is disappointing because I was really hoping these would be effective.

Creo que cambió el material. Y no, no están sucios porque diario los lavo con jabón facial suave para piel atópica. Estos son los quintos que compro, los otros los pedí en su página y no se hicieron así (foto). O quizá como los perdí no los usé suficiente, pero estos ya van para dos años de uso diario, 16 horas al día aproximadamente, y hace unos meses que cambiaron. No sé qué pensar, me genera desconfianza. Peeeero, son la mejor opción para mí. Así que pedí dos pares más porque mi gato masticó los de las fotos. Si buscan cancelación de ruido o disminución significa de decibeles, estos no son para eso. Estos sólo hacen menos doloroso el día a día sin la sensación de estar bajo el agua. Además de estos, uso audífonos con cancelación de ruido para la calle, el transporte y lavar los trastes, estos son para no acabar agotada al final del día.

Es lo mismo si te los pones como si no, no reducen ruido ni nada. Y, vaya, no se pueden devolver aunque los hayas probado una vez ni pedir un cambio de talla... sin duda los loop son mejores

J'ai voulu tester, séduit par les publicités et les "témoignages"... Je précise, je suis très sensible, musicien avec une excellente ouï. Au final absolument aucun effet, je vais rester neutre et simplement dire que ça ne "fonctionne" pas sur moi. Âpre avoir testé le produit pendant 2 semaines complètes dans différentes conditions je n'ai constaté aucun effet, j'ai renvoyé le produit. En soit le produit a une belle finition et se positionne très simplement dans l'oreille sans risque de le perdre. Je n'ai par ailleurs trouvé aucune "publication" scientifique sur le produit si ce n'est le petit schéma du vendeur montrant les ondes de sons.
