Works great once you figure out that the adapter replaces the battery, and on my camera you also have to shut the door, but there is a nice little slot for the cord so the cord doesn't get squished.

This DOES NOT fit a T5i and is certainly not a replacement for the ACK-E8. The adapter does not match the photos at all. The adapter itself is labeled as a DR-E6 which is wider and of a completely different configuration. What a waste of everyone‘s time. Me ordering, not listening to other reviews, Amazon shipping, now returning for a refund, leaving a bad review. I suppose if you are in the market for a DR-E6 adapter which replaces the LP-E6 then maybe this works for you. Play part ordering roulette and see if what you get is what you think you are ordering!

The camera requires the battery door to be mounted and closed in order to function. On the T2i, there is a little cap to remove so that the cable can pass through the battery door.

Worked as expected, did a multi hour shoot with it and it was great.

I should have read the reviews. I know by now to always read the reviews. I did not read the reviews. This product does not look anything like the picture and certainly does not fit a rebel T2i in any way. Returned for obvious reasons.
