I bought this for my grandson who is obsessed with trains. We have wooden train tracks and many features (boom gates, train stations, bridges, etc). I was very surprised at how powerful this little train was (the purchase is for two, the main one that uses batteries); it easily pulls a long chain of trains. Plus the sounds are fantastic. It goes forward and backwards too! It wasn't expensive and I'll say it was worth EVERY penny!!! I didn't have big expectations with it, and WOW, so VERY happy I purchased this! My grandson LOVES it!!!! Buy this if you're thinking about it - you'll be surprised at what a great purchase it is!

so cute and note that the battery compartment is in the back the red part not the bottom with triangular screws haha my mistake I originally thought this gift was a bust because I could not figure out how to unscrew it to get the batteries in - then I read the instructions lolol. Wanted to update that this was for my son’s 4th bday and he is obsessed with this more than any other toy!!! Amazing value for the money - would buy again. Can’t stress how much he loves this and it fits his random brand train set and connects to other mixes of trains we have. It can pull 3-4 other trains with it and it rides on all surfaces-even the bed!!!

My kids absolutely loved this train. It is battery operated and it has only 2 options - forward and backward. It goes slow and steady. The train works with our existing wooden tracks. It just needs a little bit of tweaking to get it right. If you make too many curves it falls off the tracks. We made it go around the fire station and it worked great. It can also go up and down small slopes, and also carry more wagons. Their simple train track became a cool motorized train.

My 2 year old grandson loved opening this on Christmas Eve. He played with if for over and hour. Taking out the people and putting them back in. The whistle is fun and not too loud. It ran great on their plush carpet so I am sure it will do well on their track. It is sturdy and well made. The battery was a bit hard to put in.

This would be 5 stars if the screw for the battery compartment was a regular screw. It’s some weird size and they send a screwdriver that barely works. But once I got the batteries in… we love this train! It works great on the wooden train tracks we have which are a Melissa and Doug set and a bunch of other miscellaneous wooden track sets. It pulls our other magnetic cars well, it stays on the track well too! The noises are cool and not too loud and I love that it makes some train noises when you first turn it on and then stops, so when it is going around and around our Christmas tree it’s not making a bunch of noise. Both my four year old and one year old enjoy the train.

My two year old loves this toy. It’s compatible with brio tracks and trains. It’s strong enough to go up hills and pull lots of cars along. The sounds are fun and we love that it can go in reverse. It’s fun and easy for even very young people to open and shut the windows and put the little people in and take them out.

I ordered this item for my grandson's 5th birthday. It was exactly what he wanted and he was so excited! But after we put the batteries in, it did not function at all. He was very disappointed at the time...what child wants to receive a toy that doesn't work? I ordered a replacement. My grandson was very patient, but when we received the replacement it also didn't work. The train car itself didn't appear broken, but the remote function didn't work. What a shame to disappoint a 5 year old twice!! I went to a store and bought another brand. Don't even try this one.

My little one love this train! The speed is just right - not too fast that would become unstable and not to slow that would become boring. It fits our wooden train rail perfectly. I wish it could bear a bit more loading, with ~2, 3 more cabins attached, it would stop when going up on the bridge, but it kind of enforces more engagement for the kid to push and maneuver around, not a bad thing to some extent.

We have IKEA railway set, but it became boring for our toddler to play with. This train made a huge difference. 2 years' old, his parents, all his friends from 1 to 8 feel so happy playing with the self-operated toy. There are multiple game types: - train can travel on it's own without any railways (toddlers love to catch it, to chase it, to run a way from it...) - train can be started/stopped and it makes sounds (pressing buttons and hearing the sound is exciting) - train carts can be combine with other carts from other sets, so the train becomes very long and interactive) - train driver can be placed inside, taken away, thrown away, put into rails... (every time my kid creates new game). There are so many options to play. The only dangerous thing, is removable train roofs. The kid easily disassembled the roof and put it into mouth, so we had to be very alert. Now he plays the toy without the roof. We bought two sets at a time it allowed to create crazy combinations and ornaments. Adults are happy as well playing with this toy. The toy comes without batteries and it's not trivial to figure out how to put it inside.

Mighty little train! Fits on Ikea train tracks and can also pulls additional cars. A must for all who have Ikea tracks. Lots of fun for kids and adults too.

L’un des jouet préféré de notre fils depuis des mois. Le train ne monte pas des grosse cotes mais il est tout de même capable de tirer quelques wagons. Seul point négatif est la très faible durée de fonctionnement sur les piles qu’il faut changer très souvent. Je vous recommande d’opter pour des piles rechargeables.

Super. Commence à avoir un peu de difficulté quand mon fils mets trop de vagons hahah. Mais autrement solide et mignon. Roule très bien en ligne droite.

Great little train for Brio/Thomas track. My 3 year old grandson can operate it with no difficulties whatsoever. Highly recommend.
