Some moms/dads might look at these and think they could be fun but are they worth the price? YES!!! My two sons (ages 2 & 4) love to play with these EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Seriously, you will not feel like you wasted your money on them. If your kid is into building stuff and shapes then they will love these! We bought one of these sets, and then another one, and are starting to consider buying another - you can build even taller stuff with more pieces! I love it because I think its already teaching my 4 yr old spacial awareness and he can see what a 3-D shape really is. He gets so creative with what he builds, I'm always so impressed! He already knows what a hexagon, pentagon, octagon,etc. looks like! I seriously wish I had these when I was a kid! That would have been awesome!!

I had asked the preschool teacher what toy my granddaughter played with the most. She replied that it was theMagna-Tiles. After reading about it online, I purchased it. The Magna-Tiles has helped her to understand howto use her imagination to make things, how things look, or go together. All the battery toys are put aside becauseshe is interested in participating or I should say creating something and not just staring at a screen or watching abattery toy work all by itself. By playing with the Tiles, she entertains herself. She has the power to create whateveridea she can think of. As she grows older, she will need (to add on) a larger set because her imagination will be expanding. This was an excellent gift for her.

Magnatiles are a favorite activity at my boy's preschool, so I decided to purchase this small set for my three year old. The set is small, but for the cost- it is a good intro set to see if it gets enough play in your home. It is great at encouraging open ended play. The only down-side of the small set is that it is not quite big enough for two children to share at the same time. I will be getting my family the 100 piece set this Christmas to encourage more play together. The tiles engage my three year old, four year old, and seven year old. I can't say enough about how great these are!

I first learned about Magna Tiles from one set of grandchildren and I've been eyeing them as a gift for other grandkids and touting them as the best toy ever. I finally decided to spend the money and recently gave it as a gift to a 3 year old granchild in another family. He hasn't put them down; he's constantly manipulating them, creating colorful patterns and three dimensional structures. His 8 and 10 year old siblings have just as much fun with them. I'm considering adding to them on future occasions to expand the possibilites of what they can build. Except for the price, they're the perfect toy.

First, these are really, really expensive. We received a set as a gift and loved them so much we had to order more. My 2 year old and 5 year old will literally play for an hour or more with these. I'm just amazed at how well they hold their attention. They love that the magnets are easy to connect to each other. They seem to build the same things over and over with blocks or large legos but they're able to create a lot more with these. I wish I had discovered them sooner. They are worth every penny.

My grandkids love this toy. I love it because it is so sturdy-nothing to break. However,they are not as compatible with the newer version. The magnets are not as strong and it causes a little frustration. But if the kids are patient, they can still make it work. Magna tiles is a toy that lasts and is picked up time and time again to play with. Babies love them and all the ages up to Grandparents. Great toy. I have 3 sets now. Just bought the truck set and the kids hardly put them down.

My boys (3) and (5) have Magna-tiles in their preschool and pre-K classrooms, and their teachers told me that they play with them all of the time, so I decided to buy a set to have at home. The tiles are durable and fully magnetic, and are magnetically attracted to all parts of the other Magna-tiles. My sons use the Magna-tiles to build different creations and create hiding places for some of their smaller toys (home for Squinkies, garage for Hot Wheels cars, etc). Definitely worth the price.

Our two-yr-old built fantastic skyscrapers with vision of what triangles can accomplish. No one showed him how. Excellent product , well appreciated by the giftee.

Magna-tiles are a really fun, open ended toy. However, I wish the magnets were a little stronger so that the things which are created wouldn't come apart quite so easily.
