They state that the cheapest version had a 33 foot cable , but it was only 22 foot long. Buy from honest sellers .

what is the second treaded crank bolt use for

You can put the handle on either bolt. It changes the gearing so that one way winds in the cable slower, but I t is easier to move heavier loads. The other way winds in the cable faster, but it is harder to do.

Can the slip hook be used as a chocker?

you can use it on what you like, at your own risk.

Great Winch

Well made and durable. I bought this to replace a power winch, which had failed, on my 16’ fishing boat. This winch does the job and doesn’t break the budget! Highly recommended!

Great build quality and heavy duty

Very heavy duty! Replaced my old POS boat trailer winch with this one. Way way better than the old one . Great quality!

Great winch for the money

Replaced a worn out 2500# hand winch with this one. Reversible functionality works well - would be better with a way to let it “free wheel” in some circumstances. Currently working really well and is much easier to crank same loads as the previous winch. Application is technically pulling, then through two pulleys and back to lift a bale form for round hay bales. Quite pleased so far.

This winch was crazy sturdy. Well built n impressive. I did not care for the heavy steel cable although if you were winching vehicles ... steel cable does not make a good boat winch line
