I recently made one of these into a custom olympic recurve bow case. It's a little tight for a full stabilizer and sight setup, but the result is very nice. It's more compact than almost any commercial recurve hard case.

Does this come with foam? And what type?

Yes it comes with multiple layers of foam. I don't know what kind of foam but, you have to cut it to fit your application.
